| Back in January of this year I pre-ordered these replicas of two species of Takin in 1:35 scale and painted. I believe they were produced by Free Exploration Studio. There are virtually no replicas of Takin produced by the major toy companies. My concern upon receiving these was making sure that they would not topple over and become damaged if I just sat them on a shelf. To attach them to an ordinary plain base did not seem fitting so I created my own miniature diorama. I attempted to study the natural environment of these animals and doing the best I could to replicate that. I began with a foam cast rock cropping, added turf, miniature pine trees from a Tomy kit, ferns, and bamboo shoots. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |
