| I know I've promised Roger to make a caracal and I know I've said that I will make a possum, but I wanted to try something bigger and it ended with Mishmi Takin. I wanted it to be golden/sichuan Takin, but the body I've made was too massive, so I had no choice and it had to be mishmi. I need to correct hooves a bit and I will make better pics during the day, but I was so excited that I wanted to show it to you as fast as I could :) Unfortunately, my camera changes the angle a bit and makes objects more round, in reality it looks a bit different (better). | Well, I could make a copy but I have not idea how I've tried a few ways of making a copy but none of them worked, I will ask my parent's friend how to do it. The size is comparable to Schleich grizzly bear. |

| Great takin! How do you make your models? What type of clay do you use? I would like to make my own cattle models, but I don't know how. |

| Very very different from Anna's Sichuan takin but a very very interesting molding too, your Mishmi Takin model is very attractive. It reminds me the comics serie BONE. I like it very much and, as everybody said, I want one |

| Thank you guys for all comments, you make me very happy Here are some more pics, unfortunately made in a hurry, still need to fix the horns just a little bit. I hope that it will be a good friend to Anna's sichuan, even if mine is less detailed (Anna is one of the masters here whom I will always admire, I didn't even know that I should build the figure on wires to save proportions, lol... ) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Could you tell me what type of clay that you used? I want to make some of my own cattle models. What do you use to get the texture? |

| Thanks for posting more pictures! Ana's takin is a figure from another planet. Although it was the first mold from Ana, I like it best than the superb bongo. I think they don't need to be compared and that you should very proud of your work. The pose is absolutly wonderful and the work is generally very good too. :) I think it won't be hard to put the dorsal strip in your figure without detracting the geral good looking of the animal. If I have conditions to get it I'm surely interested in a copy. |

Sorry cattlecollector, I've missed your previous post :) I use Fimo Air Basic (a type of ceramic clay) and Fimo Air Light (I have no idea what the material is, but its good for very, very small elements and it is food for sculpting a fur for example). They are really cheap. I think I have to invest in something better |
