| From a Yowie email newsletter: "Something special is hatching soon... It's the moment you've been waiting for... a BRAND NEW SERIES will be hitting shelves early this year, and we couldn't be more excited! Strap yourself in for our most loveable series yet - one we know both the kids AND the kids at heart won't be able to resist. Stay tuned with your little ones to be among the first to discover our big surprise... coming soon!" I'm not sure what 'most loveable' means, but it's great to see a new series is in the works. I was worried that maybe the pandemic had hurt their sales by reducing impulse buys. I'll update when I know more. Update 6th March: Baby Animals series Antennarius commerson, Commerson's frogfish Sus cebifrons, Visayan warty pig Giraffa camelopardalis, giraffe chase figure at a ludicrous 1 in 500 eggs Neophocaena phocaenoides, finless porpoise Ursus thibetanus, Asian black bear Pagophilus groenlandicus, harp seal Lynx pardinus, Iberian lynx Atelerix algirus, North African hedgehog Trachypithecus cristatus, silvery lutung Dugong dugon, dugong Petaurus australis, yellow-bellied glider Tachyglossus aculeatus, short-beaked echidna Crocodylus rhombifer, Cuban crocodile Casuarius casuarius, southern cassowary Caretta caretta, loggerhead sea turtle _________________ Where I try to find the best figure of every species: http://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=3390.0

| Oh this is so exciting! Maybe they will be baby animals or generally "cute" species? _________________ Jolie

| Thanks for sharing the information. My impression after reading your post is the same as Jolie's but all Yowie figures are hatchling. That mention to kids at heart is surely dedicated to our forum members, myself included. |

| Beat me to it! Here are some screenshots from my email. Obviously something along the line of "cute" species, but the line Rogers pointed out means that it should be ideal for collectors as well species wise. _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | I don't know anything about the new US series (I'm hoping for baby animals!), but I found some pictures on Facebook of a second Yowie series that just came out in Australia. They are giant eggs with three dinosaurs in each package. Here are pictures, which are not mine: _________________ Jessica Schleich | Safari Ltd. | CollectA | Papo | Mojö Fun | Bullyland | Yowie | Little Critterz | Breyer | et al...

| Thanks, Night Elf, interesting to see those being sold in Australia. They were released in the United States back in 2017 under the name "Yow Brands," which is a Yowie subsidiary (https://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=6247.msg196086#msg196086). They're repaints of Simba's "Predators" line of rubbery dinosaurs. I would be surprised if this is the new series in question, because for their main lines Yowie usually has original molds. They didn't even keep the original names. For example, that "Compsognathus" was originally sold as a Therizinosaurus, the "Arctodus" was sold as a cave bear, and the "Dilophosaurus" was a Cryolophosaurus. Anyway, they are distinctly unlovable!
I think there's a good chance that baby animals is correct, but personally I wouldn't buy any if that's the case. That doesn't really do anything for me. _________________ Where I try to find the best figure of every species: http://dinotoyblog.com/forum/index.php?topic=3390.0

| Thanks so much, halichoeres! I thought they looked familiar, but I couldn't quite place them. Still no news on the new US series. Andreas, I think you are correct! | Jessica, do they make a contortionist kaprosuchus to fit in an egg? Thanks for sharing. |

I have seen pics on Facebook. But in the group have nobody more informations at the moment, also no list. I have seen a yellow-bellied sugar glider, harp seal, southern cassowary, a frog fish, cuban crocodile, sea turtle, maybe a sea cow and a other sea animal (could be a kind of dolphin or a shark) _________________ www.spielzeugtiere.com STS members can merge Andreas |

| Hey, guys! Good news! Here's the link for Yowie's Baby Animals series: https://yowieworld.com/baby-animals/ I'm probably purchasing either the Porpoise, the Visayan piglet or the Tibetan Black bear (they are all very interesting species for me, even though they're not wild cattle). However, I prefer to wait until they become available on eBay. Gosh, Yowie's doing a way better job than other brands!!! |

| I'm excited. AND I am glad that the rare chase piece is a common species. I would still like to get it, but won't be as heartbroken if I can't find one. _________________ -"I loathe people who keep dogs. | Nice concept, nice promo pics, and a few nice/unique species. However, I will wait for adults of the desired species. |

| OMG I wished it would be adult animals. Visayan Warty Pig, Yellow Bellied Glider, North African Hedgehog, Giant Frogfish, Silvery Lutung, Cuban Crocodile and Short-Beaked Echidna would be all must have for me. But I´m not into babies, I think I only have some babies of "common" animals and some juvenile insects. Hopefully the Yellow Bellied Glider, North African Hedgehog and Giant Frogfish could go as adult when we have seen the model in real. |

| I see several I would like. And yes, thank goodness the chase figure is a species I don't usually collect! I would have liked that frog from the superpowers series, oh well. |
