2022 STS Figure of the Year - Papo Great Tit!!!

A horse has never won this competition and this year the progression of this poll has been quite weird, the Wia horse had 17 votes on the 2nd day of the poll and now, almost a week later, it has 16 votes. While the little bird increased gradually the number of votes, the horse got frozen and even shrinked a little.
Maybe this year could have been a great chance for a horse to win for the first time.
I have the leading trio in my collection and after several considerations, I think the Konobelodon would be the most deserving winner in my opinion. It is now somewhat evident the great tit will win and we will have a little colorful bird again as the great titled one.
There's no little colorful bird from Papo for 2023, maybe the Muscovy duck can provide a good result for a farm figure. About this year bull, I think the title of the farm figure of the year is already an impressive performance since the CollectA alpaca was a very strong candidat too.

In my opinion, there should be zero surprise the Papo great tit won. It's a very good sculpt of a popular and well known animal, especially for European forum members, which make up the bulk of more regular and active members.

The only surprise to me is that I find some of the other figures absolutely great! It was a similar winner on previous year so at this point there's no surprise at all.
I want to thank everyone for participating, I hope next year we find the time and energy to promote this contest again.
I still think we could do it for previous years, especially those of the gap between the first contests and those of the last years. It is nice to revisit older models.

I was first very surprised and happy to see a horse running for the top place. I like when something special happens

But that's ok, my three favourites were the konobelodon, the green iguana and the great tit.

I was embarrassed to choose because the three represent exactly the kind of future I hope for in the coming seasons. I voted for the Konobelodon because a small bird won the competition last year and because the wildlife category is a bit too mainstream... It's hard to remove all the knots we have in the head.  

Either way, the Great tit deserves the win as much as the 2021 Robin.  

Now listen to me Papo, for the year 2024 I would like the victory to go to a Hoopoe, a Many-banded aracari or a Knobbed hornbill

This year I voted for Konobelodon. A bit unusual for me to vote for a prehistoric animal, but it's also the only model I own from the finalist. Happy to see it on the podium.

Well done - the tiny bird which took on the whole animal kingdom past and present, and won!
I didn't vote for it either time (I was magpie and then Vincenzo) but still very very pleased with this result, an excellent figure of a species I know and love!
