Unknowns and rarities Empty
PostSubject: Unknowns and rarities   Unknowns and rarities EmptyTue May 23, 2023 9:37 pm

I have not been on this forum for many years. I sold almost all my bendables (almost my whole Schleich horse collection) and focused more on Breyers, CollectA, resins and remaking. But rather recently I started collect bendable plastic dogs. Getting my first real dog made my interest in dog models skyrocket. Going to flea markets all the time, I'm always looking for horse custom victims and new dogs for the horde.
But I also run into some interesting finds now and again. Some of them would look great on the Animal Toy Wiki site, as I noticed I could not find photos of them there.

Like this AAA horse. It's bigger than even Collectas draft horses. The tail is weirdly soft and rubbery unlike the very hard plastic body.

And this AAA foal.

This (very sad) NF donkey.

A Lanard horse. This model was found with some kind of fantasy armor covering it, and some of the plastic had dried out and stuck to the rest of the body. Also not a fan of standing up. The head reminds me of a Breyer paddock pals quarter horse.

Big Barbie scale Collie and two other dogs I don't know breed. I have no idea of brands.

This one looks like an Akita inu. No idea of brand.

An unknown brand brown puppy. And the white I think is a Chap Mei, but not on the wiki that I can find.

It is great to see you back on forum with the bonus that you are contributing with pictures to the Toy Animal Wiki.
I think the two non identified dogs are a German Spitz and a Schnauzer but it is better to wait for our dog experts although I'm sure that I'm not far from being right.

Welcome back! And superb additions to your collection/contributions for the wiki!

For the dogs... starting at the pomeranian down: Originally the shiba inu was a peterkin figure from a set. I recently noticed that the set has been expanded with sellers online... I will see if I can find the listing to add here. But the Pomeranian (indeed a small spitz type dog!) and Schnauzer were additions to that set. The labrador pup is a Wing Mau. The other white pup I have no idea, but it fits in with the Chap Mei dogs I have seen in sets where they have clothes and other accessories ( I had a collie and spaniel or poodle I think as a kid... only have the collie now). Thank you and welcome back again!
