Schleich 2024 Releases, updated with pictures!

Does anybody knows the book "Man after Man" from Dougal Dixon? The macaque looks like one of the creatures there. ^^

I like it too, a little too basic of coloration but it is modern Schleich let's just be glad we don't have another mandrill situation (looked like a cheap-off brand from China).

And it seems, that the deers with the feeding station are whitetails.

Why not axis deer? That is one of the most beautiful deer species. But shape is similar, so i can repaint them. ^^

Apparently the deers from the feeding station are red deer, and the horse from the wedding set is a Lipizzaner

I'm personally not familiar with the Horse Club characters but the bride and groom are called Emily and Toby

Red deer is nice. The picture i saw was very small.

I've read the descriptions for most of the 2024 models and found out that the big white sheep is meant to be a Hampshire sheep and the smaller ones are meant to be Southdown Babydoll sheep.
This set is quite adorable and I am happy that Schleich is giving us more breeds but I still would have probably preferred sheep with interesting horns.


I was also kind of shocked about that the bride of the wedding carriage set is meant to be Emily because from what I know Emily is of the same age as the main HC girls and they are twelve years old...
I assume that this Emily is another person (at least that would make the most sense to me) though why didn't they try to give her another name? Or they made a glimpse into the future where they are all grown ups...
I love their creativity...
But unfortunately there was no information whether the Lipizzaner is meant to be a mare or a stallion. At least they are writing the breeds there again.


It's sometimes very interesting to read the descriptions for their models as they reveal facts that are not visible or that probably no one has thought of.

For example the African buffalo is apparently meant to be jet-black and not brown as he looks like on the stock photo.
But my favourites for this year are the unicorns. I initially thought that they are meant to represent the element air because this year we had water and fire unicorns. But no they actually stand for eco friendly energy resources!
Apollo unicorn stallion stands for sun energy
Flowy unicorn mare stands for water energy (according to the description she has also a marking but apparently on her off side)
and the Stormy "unicorn" foal stands for wind energy.
I am still amused that the foal has wings while the parents don't have them. The parents have probably alicorn ancestry and therefore both carried a recessive allele for wings so that their foal could become a proper alicorn

That is a Chinese New Year Dragon with number 72206. I have also seen a picture of it. It is gold with some red details and green eyes.
When I see this list I think that is all - for now - until July 2024.

Ooh, that sounds nice. This is a regular release model or a special edition of some sort?

I found a picture and it looks like a repaint of the old Auruun model. Very similar to 72073 but slightly different colours. The shape of the face also looks slightly different to me but it could just be the paint job.

I have also found one more figure that I haven't seen mentioned anywhere else! 72232 A gold new year's pig, same as last year's but with a four leaf clover on its rear.

Sounds nice. I like the Harry Potter fantasy animals.

Those are all the pictures I have(I apologize for the quality). If anyone collects anything other than horses, please feel free to add to the pictures.

Kind of feel bad that the 14872 Buffalo is a nominate Cape buffalo... Bummer!

(It does look good, but I already have the Safari, Battat & Papo models, and I'm quite satisfied with such for the Cape subspecies).

I still like the Bonobo female, Angora goat, Galloway calf and Lionhead rabbit, and likely the Sheep friends too (these were definitely way better figures than the ordinary ones released from 2019 to 2022...).

I believe these are all the January releases.
the others aren't available until march I think.

Now... who wants to discuss? Theres a cursed Moros, adorable farmlife, some pretty unique wildlife for Schleich, and horses that look MUCH better IMO.
