Safari Ltd Gray Squirrel, a brief overview.

Here is a quick walk around to replace an old one that lost the pictures.
The figure is the Wild Safari North American Wildlife grey squirrel released in 2007.
It is a rare representative of this species since other major brands, closely connected to Europe, always favour the Eurasian red squirrel instead.

We identify it as an Eastern grey squirrel (Sciurus carolinensis) but some suggest it to be a Western grey squirrel.

A good number of collectors avoid this figure due to its relatively large size when compared with the red squirrels of the other brands.

Oh, sure! Not every popular figure is made by Schleich. Thanks for pointing it, I will fix my original post.

The running one is S.H., Shing Hing. I received this model from Nando a long time ago.
