Muscovy Duck Papo 51189 2023

Today I received two new birds from Papo. The kiwi and the domestic muscovy duck.
I took some pictures of the duck to share with you beautiful people.

I think Papo did a great job here. It looks exactly like the muscovy ducks I can find in the park here sometimes. The head has the distinctive red warts and the piebald colours is what all the domesticated ducks here wear. On the wings you can see detailed feathers and the pose is great. It stands very firm because of the base. The size is perfect.

I noticed that there are no markings on the duck itself, but only on the bottem of the base. (I didn't take a picture.) It says: Papo 2023 - Made in P.R.C. - 2308.
No mention that this is a muskovy duck on the base or on the duck itself. Personally I'm happy that the duck isn't disfigured with lettering on its body.

Its great to see the Muscovy duck and it looks great.It is on my wish list for Christmas!

I love Muscovy ducks; there was a feral population in the park across from my apartment in Atlanta! This Papo toy will be an instant acquisition when it comes to the US!

One more beautiful bird from Papo and yes, they were brave enough to release a muscovy duck. Everyone knows this animal but nobody considered it to be an appealing toy. It is very beautiful, I will get one for sure and I really love the real animals. I remember when I used to go to a urban garden to feed geese, mallards and muscovies and I loved how these warthy guys were so gentle with their chicks. Apparently we can't feed animals in gardens anymore but I teached them to steal the food from my hand so it was legal.

It is so gorgeous in a wonderfully funky way. Maybe this is the model to take us far in the annual Figure of the Year contest.

A nice domestic duck ( I would be happy to see the wid one but it is far less iconic.)

Papo is showing itself to be more and more the Birds huge guy nowadays, so I hope the brand perseveres.
