Not sure why they discontinued them? But it doesn't matter, because we got a WAY better line in their Wildlife Wonders!!!!!
****If you are reading this Safari LTD, don't tease us by just making one figure(Okapi), make at least 2-3 per year!!!!!!!!!

What a great collection you have Very Happy

I don`t know why they stopped,
- but perhaps it is because they had made them for many years and wanted to make something new ? scratch

I don't know these figures unless from our forum! As I know they are large and expensive! So probably hard to sell! ...and, as balty commented, with WW series it would make not sense to use two similar series in the same range. Market!

They are different, and then there were families .
Also they got very popular and well known because Schleich sold them in 1993, so they are in Gaschers`s Collerto`s catalogue.

They are sort of "vintage"-trendy perhaps drunken

Yes, the Asian and African elephant are hollow and so is the tiger - so not heavy at all.

I don't have any WW and always suspected it! All large figures from these series of Safari are hollow with a thick plastic. I saw the weight in the internet, are relatively heavy but not as heavy as it would be if it was solide as a regular figure.

WW series is made for light weight and should be hollow that's what I seen on the display shelves.
