2023 Papo Common Lizard Walkaround With Comparisons

Here is a walkaround of the beautiful new Papo common lizard!

I was very excited to see this figure in person since I hadn't seen a real image of it. I was shocked when I opened it up! This model is incredibly realistic and I am so pleased to see another lizard from Papo.

I tried to get pictures as best I could, but its so small my camera couldn't focus in close enough.

The sculpt is really great and the lizard itself is very flat and close to the ground. The tail looks very realistic and every scale is sculpted. The paintwork is excellent as well. If I saw this outside I would probably think it was real!

Here it is with some of Papo's other lizards, the panther chameleon & horned lizard. I think this one is Papo's best lizard yet. Let me know if you would like pictures of it with other figures.

Thanks a lot for this walk around. Small lizards are not usually my collecting focus but this is a figure I want so much. It is exactly like the Iberian wall lizards we can find here and they were a common sight during my youth and actually "lagartixas" are very common here. I hope they make a European gecko species too. My complaint is just about the prices these small garden animals are sold locally, 9,50 Euros, about 10 USD is quite expensive in my opinion. I checked spielzeug-guenstig.de and fortunately they sell it slightly over 5 Euros which is very reasonable price but there is always the postage.
It is only missing a photo of it climbing a wall.

I see there a very neat painting, very beautiful model, I can't wait to put it with my other lizards

Papo has done an excellent job with this lizard, far surpassing the chameleon and horned lizard.
As usual, could you tell me how long it is?

Yes thank you for sharing! A very realistic Podarcis muralis female even if the legs seem a little big..

Yes I agree the prices are quite high now. I order Papo now from a German seller on eBay but even so the lizard was 6.60 Euros, but that doesn't include tax or shipping.

Luckily I am able to get Schleich & Safari for reasonable prices since you can order directly from them (just US for Safari unfortunately) and they always have sales. Minizoo sells CollectA & Mojo for fair prices as well.

But as for Papo it is just pricey no matter where I go. Thankfully I have everything I need from Papo now in terms of extant animals so I just get the new releases every year. And everything dinosaur sells their prehistoric line for the most affordable price
