2024 New Schleich Dogs

These are the upcoming 2024 releases in the dogs-category:

Number 13968: The Bobtail, as well as Number 13972: The Wirehaired Dachshund.

In the case of the Bobtail, you can see the inscriptions “Designed in Germany“
and “Made in China“ on its belly, although the Dachshund only has the “Made in China“ inscription.
In my personal opinion, both figures are exceptionally well done!
It’s just the eyes of the Bobtail that bother me a little.

Oh, it is great to see new Schleich dogs even before the start of the new year.
I might get the Dachshund.
Is there any chance that you show a comparison picture of it with the 1997 model?
Would you also allow me to use your pictures on Toy Animal Wiki? If you're not confortable with that idea, I understand.

I forgot to tell that it is surprising that Schleich is marking some figures with the place they are designed. As far as I know it is not a mandatory information. We have seen it before in other brands models like Mojö and eventually CollectA. I'm convinced the Dachshund is too small to show that information.

And because it fits so well, here's also the Bobtail from 1996 and 2024.

I had already introduced the Pug No. 42614 from the "Sofia's Beauties Pet Salon" playset of 2023 here. The typical Schleich tag is missing because it is part of a set.

Here is a comparison with the Pug figures released in 2010.

Ich hatte hier ja bereits den Mops Nr. 42614 aus dem Spielset "Sofias Beauties Tiersalon" von 2023 vorgestellt. Es fehlt das typische Schleich Fähnchen, da es sich um Teil eines  Sets handelt.

I love the Wirehaired dachshund! He looks endlessly adorable.
I agree with you on the Bobtail's eyes. They give the model a super crazy expression. Is it actually sculpted as a female? Or is it simply the fur sticking out a little bit?

I can't say, that the bobtail is female shaped. Crazy in any case!

I'm building my own little collection of dogs, a mix of brands, not exactly the complete Schleich series as you do but, obviously, I have interest in a good number of Schleich dogs. I have that old Schleich wirehaired Dachshund so now I can see the new model is not as small as I thought. I can also see that they are completely different. My bobtail is for now a Bullyland model. I still need a pug, I won't get the new Safari which is beautiful but too large. I need to get one of those older Schleich, they are great.
About the comparisons, you're comparing new models with the early ones. The generation of dogs between these really shows a superior finish quality in all regards.

Both look to be nice models.I think with the Old English Sheepdog they may have been going for a blue/wall eye which can occur in the breed but gives a crazy look to this model!
