Miniland set

Got this set of European animals with the help of Rogerio,many thanks.
Some of the sculpts are a bit naive but overall a very nice set.They came in a large bucket.
My favourites are the Wolf,Golden Eagle Wild boar and Mouflon-despite the little goatee!

Some little extras as well,I have quite a few Miniland Farm animals gotten while on holidays in Spain-they are a Spanish company.
The donkey is quite large so think it it may be an Andalusian donkey as they are large and grey!

Oh Miniland, in my opinion nice figures of a less known brand

Miniland is a small company specializing in educational toys. They have an interesting social mission and are one of the few companies that did not hesitate to produce sets featuring people of different ethnicities or with disabilities. They are somewhat like ELC, but instead of being British, they are Spanish. These figures have been around for several decades; I believe they emerged shortly after the decline of Hong Kong figures when many small national brands started developing their own lines of animal figures. The phenomenon had a massive impact in the United States but also resonated in European countries.
I enjoy seeing these models receiving attention from collectors. They represent small glimpses into the history of this industry that should not be forgotten.
