blue crab (Callinectes sapidus) 2010 Safari Ltd Incredible Creatures

hey all,

Safari did not introduce any new insects this year, but did have a new crustacean for their Incredible Creatures line.  It's the blue crab, Callinectes sapidus.  It is a member of the family, Portunidae, also known as swimming crabs (as indicated by the paddle-like hind legs).  Another fantastic crustacean by Safari, joining their terrestrial hermit crab (Coenobita), Sally lightfoot crab (Grapsus grapsus) and Maine lobster (Homarus americanus).

Yumm! Did you cook that yourself? Looks like a person needs to be specific on this forum ~ no "blood" family portraits either of you and your siblings looking "crabby"!

That is a nice collection Torben, i come visit you too together with Christophe, but you both can eat this collection, i don't like food on my plate that is looking at me and with all kinds of antennas and sizzors, i just help you both out with the wine then...
And if i want to drink snotty and salt water, i can make that myself, without cracking nutshelfs or so, haha.
A steak or schnitzel will do i guess...

So we need more bottles I guess

Poor Blain, I wished I could see his reaction after reading these comments! I think they are too scientific for Blaine's taste.
On the other hand, it is quite frustrating to have limitations of space to display our figures, these large Incredible Creatures from Safari are terribly interesting, feature lots of interesting species and some of them in real size.
