Ardennais and Boulonnais

A while ago I got the wonderful Papo Ardennais horses. They are nice, but alas, Papo had changed the colour, so they were dark bay and not the wonderful "Pangaré" colour they used to have. Crying or Very sad

Fortunately they were so kind at MPV, that they went searcing in their store room and found a set of the old colour for me cheers

Of course I had to get a couple more horses. Unlike many here I think Papo makes fantastic horses Wink

The Boulonnais mare has two foals now.
The first one was a sort of light chestnut, which is probably the most correct colour, as greys are not borne white.
The new colour foal is white. Hmmm, I wonder if there are white-borne Boulonnais horses scratch

AND at last I got the wonderful Percheron-mare. She is just getting up from her midday-nap Wink

I couldn`t resist making a little "Walk-around" even if we have already seen pictures of her from great photographers Embarassed

I'm really not a Horse-Fan but the Percheron Mare is WONDERFUL!!! Shocked

The pose,the painting...Just EVERYTHING!!I have never thought that I would so impressed by a Horse,it's a Masterpiece.
The only Horse that manage it to come in my Collection,now on my wishlist. santa

The old painting of the Ardennais seen more appeal to me than the current one. Percheron-mare is pretty too!

Thankyou Ana, I fully agree with you, - I think many of the papos are a lot nicer in real than in the catalogue. I have the idea that it is because they are made to be seen from more than one side Rolling Eyes

And that is one of the thing I LOVE about Papo Very Happy

Aaah, you remember that I got the "wrong" Ardennais Very Happy

That is a good thing aboyt MPV, - they DO know what they have in stock, and are know horses so well they can see if there is a new painting of them cheers

I really like the percheron mare. I like the more unusual horses like lying down, grazing, nursing etc.
