I can recognize the raphis in the background ( living in a place where the raphis grow outside     )
But I don't know the duck... Maybe Harriet could help ?

I was waiting for our friend crow, the ornitologist, but he is not visiting the forum, maybe is not having time! I think he is counting how many feathers have a penguin! :)

I am very sorry I missed this thread, there are some great photos!!!

The duck is some type of whistling duck, my guess is a female black bellied whistling duck but I will take a better look at the different species and let you know.
