CollectA 2012 Giant Sable Antelope: Please Choose your favourite Pose.

Hi everyone.  Here is some exciting stuff for you all!

The last animal to be finalised is the Giant Sable.  CollectA have created two wonderful prototypes for us of the Sable in two different poses.  We have a standing Sable and a walking sable.  They are not 100% finished as these are the prototypes and the tail on the standing Sable will be reduced a little and the horns on both will be amended to make them more impressive and Giant Sable like.

Looking at both photos below can you please submit a vote on the pose that you prefer and which would work as a commercially produced toy animal replica?  I definitely want the horns amended and CollectA will do that.  I am impressed and very proud of both models and find it hard to choose between the two.  I want both! CollectA have outdone themselves on quality in my opinion.    

CollectA CANNOT produce both models for 2012 due to financial limitations and I have requested a female and baby for 2013 so it all depends again on the success of the final CollectA Giant Sable.

I agree... this is IMPOSSIBLE!!!!!!!! They both are perfect!!! I WANT THEM BOTH!!!!

I don't have any doubts and my choice goes to the walking figure. As HK is saying we already have a very nice standing one and doesn't makes sense another almost similar in pose. The walking pose is correct for a sable with the head down!

Thats a really good idea! I will pass this onto them next week.

I really hope we get a baby Eland, female Waterbuck and a female Sable next year. Out of the two I would then think that the walking Sable should be a female as it is a little plumper, rounder bodied and a tiny bit smaller than the standing one. Lets see.

Life isn't fair, isn't it ? What an awul choice we collectors have to do....

History repeats itself !

In 1973 Volkmar Klaus left Schleich and created his own compagny : Bullyland.
Since then they have competed, as far as I can see .

Now James has left CollectA,
and together with Roger and many others he has done an enormous lot of work to make a Sable for Mojo....and what happens

But then again, competition is extremely good for us, the customers, so no problem in this, as far as I can see

Well, like Harriet I go for the walking one because I want both poses

So Schleichzoo, just wondering how you are able to "request" to CollectA?
Do you "request" to the other companies with your input for the animals to made as well?

Both are beautiful but I voted for walking

Every decision is bad because these two antelopes are the best two CollectA wild animals I ever saw

Ok, I vote for the standing, even if the walking one is very interesting but I chose the one I prefer without thinking about the Mojo one .

I vote for the standing one!! :) The walking one is also interesting but I just cannot resist the Charm of the
standing Sable,I mean look at those eyes!!

i voted for walking, because of the Mojo. But i confess, i think the standing is the better model - i think. it's terribly hard to see detail on such dark figures!
of course, i love both of them!!


remaking the walking into a female is brilliant - the abdomen looks already enlarged - a pregnant female!
Actually, if any changes can be made to the model, i think the right hind leg is flaccid - that leg is load-bearing and should look engaged, but hip and upper leg look like a wobbly bit of rubber. Maybe it's the dark color and the abdomen. i just think the belly looks wrong and the leg weak. but i'm far from being an expert on antelopes!

It's so hard to choose, the walking one I think.

hard decision....both are gorgeous...i voted walking...i'll buy two ..for a fight...
