| I have the honor to present one of my top 5 personal favorites for 2012, African wild dog... I was very excited to see what pose Mojo team selected for this animal, and I was delighted to see that they delivered beautiful animal in position of effortless movement. I just love this cruising animal... _________________ Robert

| Nice, but it make me think of a pup or a young one - because of these relatively short and thick legs. Maybe if they were a bit longer my general impression would be better. _________________ ~Magda (formerly Mangalarga) Blog | Facebook |

| On second thought, if he will be released as he is now, I'll buy him anyway - after a little customisation he could be a nice dhole _________________ ~Magda (formerly Mangalarga) Blog | Facebook |

| I like the pose, but I'm not sure about the colour. Usually they have more white and brown spots, and I thing this one is too black. Anyway is a good figure and will be in my Wishlist for 2012 :) _________________ Joan Likaon Wildlife Models Shop my handmade models: http://bestiari.weebly.com/ my models in facebook: https://www.facebook.com/bestiari.animal.replicas[/center] |

| I agree with everyone here First, maybe the legs are a bit too short Second, I would prefer a more marbled colored lycaon, this one is too black Third, I love the way he moves, like a real one in the savannah Fourth, I will buy it in 2012 of course But again, maybe MOJO could change the painting

| About being too black... http://lh3.ggpht.com/-MQGtLqEwVFI/TnSSIUhJzYI/AAAAAAAAClY/4R6DqYrfXVQ/P1080453.jpg These animals don't have the most usual color but it's there, in the savannah In my opinion legs aren't too short but a little bit shorter. The main issue is in the strength of limbs, these are a little bit stronger but to make them thinner means to make them weaker and more bendable. I understood that this was the only thing that wasn't possible. _________________ Robert

| I agree lycaons have a lot of different patterns, some are very black and some are far more yellow. But I prefer a marbled one... because it is really the best for my taste |

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!yes, the legs could be better, and i hope they'll change the paint job to a more marbled pattern, but still EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!i tell you, i'm starting to get nervous that maybe Mojo has an alien electrode implanted in my head to read my mind, since they're bringing out so many of my favorite animals! _________________ carolynn

| I like the pose, it's different than Safari's. But the paint is a little off. They have more patches of white and various shades of brown and tan. |

| Bravos Mojo love the pose and the choice of this animal! I find it bland in color and have the opinion of Christopher! Anyway with Lycaon Safari bar is very high ... However, it remains enjoyable and me .. |

| Thanks for posting, Robert! The figure would look better with narrower legs and a richer pattern as Orcagirl suggested. I like the choice of the species, not many brands were brave enough to release such a magnificent animal. From more known brands i think only Safari did it and with a very defensive pose and anyway with lots of complaints about the balance. What make the legs look some short is the fact of being some thick and also the fantastic cruising pose. As a collector and knowing that there's no standard pattern in this species, i'm glad seeing a dark version to give some variability with the safari counterpart. That's a perfect species to work with painting variations in the future. And real variations, not like some that one is dark blac and other is blac dark. It is in my wish list and will join the Safari friend. :) |

blac dark. It is in my wish list and will join the Safari friend. :) You are right Roger, this species is under-represented on collector's shelves. I really don't understand why because this animal is very iconic and there are several TVshows about the african Wild dogs. Still a dog but easy for chidren to distinguish from foxes or wolves. Except the SAFARI Ltd, the only other lycaon figurines are Japanese. It's great to see MOJO making sit About the legs, you are probably right that's why I said they were maybe too short. I forget to say the head profile is fantastic |
