Mojo 2012 - African wild dog

First Mojo figure for 2012 that does not impress me completely. But of course that would be boring if every figure would be perfect and also dangerous for our wallets.
Anyway,the pose is amazing and unique. The Paintwork could be better and as many before said the legs are a bit to short.
But because of the pose I think I'll buy it in spite of a few mistakes.

Great choice to make a Wild dog.

He surely will become a mate for the Safari one.

I like the colour, but I think - comparing with the picture of the link - the tail could be a little bit longer and have a higher startpoint. Also the back could be a bit straighter.

While I like the figure and have no problem with the color (as mentioned they come in all sorts of patterns from dark through the marble colored individuals) I can't think of a wild dog figure that can compete with the set done for me by Ana for my diorama, here they are for those of you who may be new...

Agreed 100%, those guys are phenomenal

I agree also Phil! That's the reason why other brands can not compete with Mojo horses in 2012! Also these customs from Anna are not possible for mass production in any of the modern brands! As I told before, some known brands were not brave to make wild dogs even knowing that they are a common species that even children know!

Ohh, alas, they are not a common species any more.
Just last night I saw in TV that they are seriously threatened with extinction.
And as they are very difficult to breed in captivity ( they often fight to death when put together with one they don`t know),
the future for this beautyful, mysterious dog looks very dark indeed

As you say, they are common in the sence that they are well known

It's sad to hear that African Wild Dog is going extinct and perhaps in future needs to put under " Prehistorical Mammals" Section.
