| Phil, I saw your collections at your blog and honestly I can't believe from what I saw. Stunningly beautiful houses. That's the most classic of all the classics. Wow! |

Luck had nothing to do with it; I'm afraid all it took was one big bid and a month dining on nothing but bread crusts and water... Luck or not, I know you are happy to have won it and you wouldn't trade for it. Some day I may have some of the WWF, but we will see what happens. I'm sure you'd do the same again if another one popped up. |

| Yes, courage is the best word here, because you really have to gamble on your(high) bids to get these rare items! Someday, somehow, those items will pop-up again Amy, and maybe we are the lucky ones to get it then.

I really think that it will take a flea market, antique store, or a large bribe to a high-ranking official at either Schleich AG or the World Wildlife Fund. My money is on Peter to find all of them next after Torben gets his polar bear. |

| I agree. This is where patience and waiting comes in. Saving as much money as possible is another good thing. Can't win them without the money. |

I have seen one sold for 150 Euro last year and this year i sold 2 ones for 100 Euro. One at Phil. But what did you say to this 300 Euro for the black Beagle and i think it would be getting higher. ebay |

ebay Are you talking about WWF's, or just extremely rare figurines in general? If the former, too bad I didn't know about the 150 or the other 100, as I would have probably bid/paid more! The black and white beagle seems to be in the 250-300 euro range right now, but it certainly may go higher in the future, or it may go lower, like the brown pelicans recently auctioned on eBay.de. I believe the pelican (not one of your auctions) went for about the equivalent of 100 dollars US, which has been the going rate on eBay.com for the last 6 or 7 auctions of them. Of course, this is just a reiteration of the same good points you've made here. This beagle is at 300 now, but I doubt there will be much more bidding on this auction until the very end. There are two, maybe three bidders in play so far, and I am quite familiar with two of them, but maybe there is a big shark circling in the water that hasn't been spotted yet. I have some cash saved, but it's for a rabbit surgery, so I won't be participating in this auction. Good luck to the rest of you..... |

| Fantastic WWF Oran Phil, he looks great!
I didn't even see the dark beagle on e-bay at the moment, i was hunting for smaller prey the last week... But maybe you are right, maybe there is a great white shark lurking in the dark, or maybe a crocodile or so... |

| Thanks, guys, I'm quite impressed with him, myself. I think the rhino is the best of the six figurines, with the panda bear a very close second.
