| I've found an AAA giraffe on eBay, here's a picture of it from Torben's site, but I was wondering if it's in scale with the Schleich Zebras? I will be painting the giraffe if I get it. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| I can't remember, my giraffe has spent many years in the attic ! But today I'm going to find them and get my sister's suitcase. So if I find them, I'll take a picture for you but I only have the retired Schleich Zebras. |

| The giraffe I was watching has ended now, but I've found another. Also this seller is selling some interesting models with no brand name, looks like a Schleich one here [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] I don't think it is just looks like Schleich. Take a look at her other items if anyone is looking for AAAs, she has quite a lot going cheap. |

Oh no, that's OK Rio, I wasn't being impatient, in fact I'm glad I didn't get the first giraffe, there were two other bids and I think it would have gone up to much. I'm glad I found this seller too. I just wanted to share that Zebra really, as I thought it was unusual. Sorry, I didn't mean to sound rude in my last post. Hope your interview goes well. |

| No, no, you didn't sound rude :) I've been meaning to get them down for a while so you asking, has jogged my memory into getting them down. So thank you Otherwise I would have bought doubles Now I think about it, I actually having an ELC/AAA Giraffe drinking too. I hope it's in the attic ! I don't remember selling that one. The interview was a bust It said animal assistant but it was an admin assistant ! So I sat for 3 hours waiting for the person to turn up and I was the only one that did ! |

| Here you go, Harriet :) I hope the one you were watching hasn't ended yet. I took a picture of it with a Schleich Zebra, Gnu and Giraffes and also with the AAA zebra. I hope they are useful to you. The Adult Giraffe is 20cms tall. With AAA Zebra [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]With Schleich Retired Zebra [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]With Schleich Gnu [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]With Schleich Giraffes [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Thanks Rio, that’s great! I'm collecting animals for a zoo diorama, which I'm planning on building, so all the animals have to be in scale with each other. I missed the other one I was watching! I was outside most of the time yesterday, in the afternoon the rain stopped, although very windy and we started to build the Rabbit hutch/house it's really cute. But anyway I completely forgot about the giraffe... never mind another will come up. There is another which that same seller (that you buy from) has listed, however she says the legs are badly bent and the giraffe falls over. So I won't bid on that one. I think the scale is about right, perhaps the schleich zebras look a little chunky with it, but they won't be next to each other. |

Yes, I will repaint it, I wonder how well paint will stick on it though, it's glossy isn't it. |

| Yes, it is a little shiny. I always had trouble with this Giraffe when I was younger. She would not stand up ! But now she does |

| Great stuff here, although i wouldn't re-paint them, only if i had two of them, because i like the models to be original. |

Yes it is nice to have the original one, but I'm only looking for a giraffe because I would like one in scale for a zoo I'm planning. So far I've only found a resin giraffe, which is nice, but I don't know if it's too big. I have the height but that doesn't always help, the size of it's head and body are important too. |

| Well, I did get one in the end Rio but it was in a Charity shop for 50 pence, so I couldn't resist. Saying that though, it does look different to the one you posted a picture of and also Torben's one, don't you think? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| In fact, comparing yours and mine Rio, it's completely different, the colours and the position, the head on mine is looking down, whereas yours and Torben's are looking up. |

| I believe that this is the 2nd version of the Giraffe. I just got two spares in and they too are a little different from my original one. Same painting style but one has it's head to the side slightly. The one you have here, matches the calves that Torben has. 50p, what a bargain |
