I never seen these before but they are cool! they also have other horses, people, and other animals available on the website. Here is the website link: http://www.lifesize-models.co.uk/index.php And here is the Life-size Fairy man on horse.. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]''Our Life-size Fairy man on horse, wearing his green outfit, and wings stretched out behind him. His horse’s golden mane shows off his green and gold outfit to complete the mythical character. This would make an ideal addition to any mythical garden, crazy golf course, theme park or your own woodland setting.'' here is the link to him alone. http://www.lifesize-models.co.uk/product.php?id=624 I think the horse is pretty cute! :) Just thought I would share :) -Emily _________________ I collect everything! | That is fabulous What a fabulous idea, - instead of the eternal garden-trolls and storks and turtles we see here I have just spent a lot of time browsing that site, - I wouldn`t mid one of those alligators crawling out of my little lake Thankyou for the picture and the link |

| Ha Ha that it is a pretty big figure but to make it look even bigger they take a picture of the smallest lady they can find at the theme park or sales lot In another thread some some said a friend had seen a life size Schleich fairy Feya at a Toys Are Us store in NYC 4 years ago. Maybe this is the company that made them or they are reselling the left overs Now I looked around the site for 30 min [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I found the same green schleich knight at a thrift store and the same schleich horse with black trappings. And here i found the green knight online [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And More Ha ha, in many of the pictures they use a little girl or the same tiny woman in the picture to make the statue look bigger. The green dragon is 4 meters tall why to they want to fool people into thinking it is 5 |

I don't think these are "official" in any way. I looked on this website too, and found [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Maybe it doesn't look familiar because we are on the "Schleich" thread and not the "Papo" but I can assure you, that is just a larger version of this Papo Knight! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Why would Schleich and Papo use the same company to make giant statues? It seems fishy. As far as I know, they cannot just copy designs like this and sell them as their own. Maybe rules are different in different parts of the world, but in Canada and the United States, it's illegal! I hope Schleich finds out about this in the funniest way possible- maybe all the corporate bosses go for a nice day out and happen to go mini-golfing, where they find big versions of their toys! Maybe they would all think they were day-dreaming |

| A Life size Schleich elf was seen at a Schleich display in Toys R us so they must use them as sales tools from time to time.
If Schleich or Papo needed life size versions of one of there figures made they would/could not do it themselves. This kind of figure is not there speciality, they would have to get the equipment and then learn how to do it. They would go to a company that makes that kind of large figure and how many of those companies are there in Europe. There are only a few makers in the US
Now days with 3d modeling scanners they could almost put the figure in the scanner and the machine would cut out the pieces in stryofoam they would use to make the molds for the fiberglass. But it is the expert creation and finishing of the fiberglass and resin figure in a large scale that is the special skill
As a maker of such figures there are to many historical references of knights for them to bother making an exact copy if they did not have a reason or request for it
As a reseller if they were trying something shady and they did noit have a legal right to the old sales figure they would repajnt the figures or mod them a little, in America dealers in those kinds of figures repaint the Bob's Big Boy and throw out destroy the Ronald Mcdonalds.
A company I make costumes for creates all the set pieces and some life size figures for those multi million dollar theme parties at casinos and moves premieres. All that stuff just sits around in a ware house for years until they need it or remake it for another event, things that are to unique they can never use again they sell off.
The weird thing is Schleich could be selling the left over un needed life size figures to collectors and get 10 times more than what this dealer is asking
All that being said some one should e-mail them and ask
I sent them an e-mail asking |
