| Since we collect only Schleich, we are not clear about the value and possible rarity of this orangutang that we have available. Could anybody clarify this for us please? It says PV and orangutang, copyright 1998. PV perhaps means Playvision? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Thanks! Best regards, Joyce & Anouk [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] |

| Thanks for your reply! Is it a retired model? And if so, how long? Could you also please inform us about the value of this model? We do not want to keep it, as we collect only Schleich. So we want to use it for trading of sell it outright. Would be great if we knew somewhat more about it.

All Playvisions animals are retired, because they dont produced anything now. But i cant tell any about the value, because the value is not high. I bought this orang utan last year for 0,70€, i think can sale the orang utan on ebay for 1 or 2€. I have this animal so i dont want this for a trade. |

| Do you know of a website about Playvision models, so we can check the details on this model? Or of any collectors that might be looking for this model, so we may be able to help them with their collection? |

| We are looking for color variants in the animal models of the Schleich World of Nature.... If we cannot trade the model, we will consider an auction so you can put in a bid if you like! |

| Playvisions are relatively hard to find but there's no many people collecting them. So they don't get expensive like Schleich figures and their original prices is really cheap as Andreas told you. You have in this forum a section dedicated to [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and also another where you can put the link to your [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] :) |

Or of any collectors that might be looking for this model, so we may be able to help them with their collection? Jhudstone is the PLAYVISIONS specialist in the STS forum, I guess he could help you |

| Hi Joyce and Anouk, we do know eachother from the very beginning that i started to collect Schleich to, as i didn't knew to much about them, but for that very much about other brands, the rest i learned from befriended collectors here and on another forum before. I think, you have to forget about what a model is worth, because i don't think, that you both are collecting for that purpose, isn't it? PV is Playvisions indeed, and in most cases quit hard to get here in Europe, specialy the Netherlands. I find most of my stuff on e-bay, as you do right now to i gues, as before your dad brought you both the models you wanted. It is up to you both, if you decide to collect only Schleich, or the hundreds of other brands on the market to, from the late 1800's up to now... Then we can talk about what a model is worth... Your figurine is worth about $ 2 or so by the way, depending how much a collector wants it, which is the same as in Schleich, the old dark beagle goes up to 550 euro's at e-bay sometimes, and it is not even really old, about 25-30 years old or so... |

| The PV orangutang has found a new owner and is going on its way to Finland tomorrow while we are awaiting a colour variant for our collection from a collector over there - it's nice to trade models with the ever so kind people on this forum! |

| Hi Willy, it's nice to meet you again! We still only collect Schleich, and that is enough for us. We already do not have quite enough room to display all our models as wide from each other as we would like, so more brands is really not an option. And we couldn't afford that, either, especially not since the prices for older Schleichs have gone up so much and we still need some colour variants for our collection. Anyway, we have enough to do with our Schleichs, our mum has built a new website for us and now we still have to take lots of photos for that. Takes hours and hours, and we also need to study sometimes... We have read in another thread that you sold all your farm life models? Aaaaahhhh, if only we had known... we are still looking for the brown/white calf 13005 from 1992, do you by any chance have that one for sale/trade? |

| Hi girls! Nice to hear from you to! Yeah, i can understand when you still ive at the house of your parents, that space is very limited, and that you will stick with Schleich for now... The new website does look very good, congratulations on that! And yes, i know how much work it is with taking pics for an own webiste, i had to take thousands and thousands, and like the last weeks, i showed my collection in the Collections section of this forum. For you both study, for another work, yeah, that takes to much freetime, haha. I do and did sell most of my Schleich farm animals indeed, as they don't longer have my interest. And YES, i do have that calf for you, in a very nice state to. You can make me a nice and decent offer in a PM,and i guess, i wil lhave a PM very soon, haha... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Something like this maybe??? |
