| I acquired the pig and queen trigger-fish on my most recent purchase on the site too. And I totally agree the shipping is fairly expensive, but it's alright if you are buying as many figures as I did _________________ [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] ADAM [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] "Our planet is in crisis. | Relly, really great finds Wonderful fishes, a great, older Bullyland pig, and the micro-mouse ! Is the turtle from K&M ? But my absolute favorite is those little Hartung birdies, - what a rare and beautyful find |

| I love the triggerfish (and the grouper from the same set), unfortunately shipping to the US is prohibitive. It is a real beauty though! |

| Some newcomers from user Roy-Swetsie. Beside the figures, he added a wonderful selfmade picture of a paradise-bird :) Sadly, the playvision eastern box turtle is damaged (I knew this when I bought it!) so it will remain on my wishlist. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Finally, thanks to Taos, I found the Schleich Mufflon. The first time I saw it, I had the feeling that I have to buy this little critter. CollectA released an amazing figurine, too, but I didn´t love the pose. Yes, the Schleich pose is very "boring", but as I saw many mufflons in my life, it represents the species very good. Sadly, the figure was only released in a set, that I never saw in real. So I was happy when I saw, that Taos was solding his model. I acquired the rabbit for my dad and the Tapir, too. Here I was perhaps a little nostalgic as I´m sure that most of the collector would prefer the newer models of this species. And talking in my last post abaout damages, this one had lost a little bit of colour in the neck, that I tried to fix. Nevertheless, I´m happy that I could add this Tapir to my collection. | Finding that mouflon out of the box is surely something to make you feel lucky. I waaited long for a similar chance or that Schleich would release it as an individual product. Fortunately Yvette found the set for its regular price and as I like three models on it, I will have them in route to my home someday. I think it looks really great although I like the pose of the CollectA but these less common species, in toy shape, are good to have more than one when they pose differently. Tapir is also not easy to find anymore, I suspect yours is the made in China version but it is always hard to be sure. |

| Thank you :) [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]Yes, the Tapir is indeed an "older" Schleich model and as Roger pointed out, it´s "made in China! I never saw the mountain set and was hopefully, too, that the animals would be sold seperatly in the next years. I like the Ibex and the Goat, too, but really didn´t need them. So I´m happy, that I now found the mufflon alone. |

| 2020 isn´t a very great year, you know why. But talking as collector, 2020 was amazing. Most because I got some very rare figures from STS members when they traded or sold some models. Before christmas, it was time to go back to the modern companies and figures that are easier to get. So I could get some newcomers from 2020 and figures that were already longer on my list. The lesser kudu and the golden jackal are some of the figures that are often a hot topic in discussions. I now have to wait for a company to sell a good Greater Kudu or I will buy someday the Papo one. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The cormorant from Papo is often discussed, too. I have now listed it as great cormorant, waiting for the forum experts when they will have the animal in hands. I added 2 more frogs: The Papo just because I saw in Blaines collection, that it represents a unique species. I still hope that the new CollectA darwin´s frog will fit in size with those frogs... The Bowmouth guitarfish was a big surprise - big is here the perfect word. For my taste compared to other sharks that I have, it is way to big. But it´s still a great beautiful figure! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Finally, one more time Blaines collection inspired me. I´m not very a collector of insects. But with Blaine, we have an expert on this forum with many identifications and walkarounds. So, such a toob is nice as I can get 12 species and more so, I can identifie them as I can use Blaines work. Thank you Blaine. The figures are very good quality and hopefully, CollectA will continue to release toobs of their anthropods in future. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Happy to have made a positive influence :). The CollectA Mini Insects are great for people that want insect diversity, but do not want to devote a lot of space to them. |

| I also have the lesser kudu, golden jackal and cormorant. I think the fact that they are discussed on forum gives them a special protagonism. I confess a bit of my fault when I suggested it could be an European shag. Though, it seems most of the members are swimming towards a greater cormorant. About the kudu isn’t the discussion only around the size? It was a figure I never had any doubts that I wanted it, contrarily to the golden jackal that I think it was the figure who wanted me. Congratulations! |
