And last but not least, some extinct animals. Yes, I don´t really collect prehistoric animals, mostly due to prices and space problems. I have some dinosaurs, but mostly Made in HongKong. But watching all those wonderful newcomers from Safari, PNSO, CollectA, etc. make me really wish, that I could have some of those in my collection. So, I chose for myself another solution: small sized prehistoric figures from toobs for exemple. They´are not to compare with the amazing standard sizes, but I really like them. I will only add when I get opportunities like those and I really know, that my focus will stay with wildlife, but this forum really makes addictive^^ [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| As already mentioned in my search-thread, I was able to add some missing figures to my collection. First of all [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] managed to "save" some Playvisions figures and sold them on ebay. So I was able to add, after nearly 10 years, the striped duiker I bought a beisa oryx, too, even that the figure doesn´t fit with my other antelopes. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Speaking of size, my collection is now on a turning point where I replace some older models (with whom I really played as kid). So I add more accurate modern models and as 2021 was a cheaper year with new models, I spent some money. So, I added the other rhino species from modern companies to my zoo, the same for the zebra and gorilla from CollectA. I added the Mojo Asian elephant, too - surpised, it is smaller than I thought. Even that it´s very beautiful, it´s smaller than I thought and will hopefully fit with the Mojo African elephant. I don´t understand Mojos size strategy, as sometimes models are very big and sometimes very small... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Bullyland re-released some birds that I was searching for, so I took the chance! I added the soldier ara, too, even that the figurine is a little bit to big for my taste. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]New additions to my increasing amphibian collection I love the 2 Bullyland frogs :) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Finally new additions to my new prehistoric collection. As said before, I don´t have the money and the space to collect all those wonderful figures from Safari, PSNO, CollectA and Co. So I choosed to add the small toob figures and bought all CollectA Dinosaur, Prehistoric Sea Life and Prehistoric mammals :) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| When there's no room for all figures, I think the way is replacing older models for more accurate ones as you did. Some great models you have gotten! It is a pity you're not very happy about the Mojö Asian elephant. I really want it, I hope I won't get disappointed when one of those find a way to my collection. Hahah, Play Visions antelopes are too small, only the duiker can be satisphatory at such a small size. Though, if you forget the sizes, they're all very beautiful. |

| Thank you very much everybody - endogenylove wrote:

It seems bigger as the macaw is sitting on a tree, so the whole figure seems to be very big. However, as the figure stands behind the others, you shouldn´t forget that it´s for sure the biggest parrot figurine that I have. The bird alone is the size of the red kite, so in comparison with other parrots, it could be to big for some collectors. I hesitated, but I´m now happy that I got the figurine as it´s very beautiful. - Roger wrote:

Don´t understand me wrong - the Asian Elephant is beautiful and for me the best figure of this species on the market. However only regarding the size, it will be to small for most of the collectors. You can see, that it has nearly the size of the CollectA Zebra or Gorilla. So for dioramas, most collectors will avoid it, despite being an excellent model. I only hope, that it fits with the Mojo African Elephant that I want to get on my next purchase. So till now, I´m happy, but I hope this will be the same when I get the other Elephant^^ With the playvisions, I really love this brand. There are still many on my wishlist, even that I found more and more figures also with the help from many forum friends However, for bigger animals, I wish that the modern companies like CollectA and Co. will produce more figures in their normal size so that I don´t need the rather rare Playvisions anymore^^ As species collector, my focus lies on getting as much different species as possible. So, size isn´t the most important for me. But seeing all those collections of so many forum members (lot of them in same size range and synoptic), I often think that my collection would look more "beautiful" than now with different sizes. If someday a company will release a beisa oryx in the same size as my Schleich gemsbock, I will replace it. For now, I´m happy to have it |

| I understand,it is much similar to my collecting style. I don't mind having a small figure of a species I still don't have but obviously if I find the same species in what we call standard sized, I will favour it. I am also happy you don't find the Mojo elephant cow ugly or unrealistic, it is small and we agree at that point. |

| Newcomer :) First figures from the Yowie US Series - Gummies and Volume 7. I could have buy more, but especially the figures from the "Superpower series" are very expensive on ebay. And yes, I can understand that buying so much chocolas is very stressful, but for now, I don´t to spend 10 dollars for such tiny figures [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |
