| I think Papo has my favourite cows at the moment, I only don't collect them. These two are very nice and with unusual poses, it looks these days all cows are standing turning the head to one side and these 2 give some life to a farm. :) Interesting Susanne's comment about the tail and mouth, those are interesting details that I would never had any idea about it. Probably they also do not smell like cows but that's another detail. Congratulations and thanks for your informative pictures! |

| About the mouth of a cow, - remember that cows "lick" their food up. They put their tongue round whatever they want to eat, and tear it off. They only have teeth in the lower part of the mouth, so opening the mouth like that doesn`t make any sence for a cow http://www.animalcorner.co.uk/farm/cows/cow_anatomy.html _________________ SUSANNE |

| Congrats! I love their poses. Great photos. I too very much like your signs telling brand and origin. She has been thinking philosophical thoughts all day but she has just realized, "why am i sitting on my tail?" i am telling myself that when she was brushing her lower teeth, she got toothpaste on the roof of her mouth... those can't be upper incisors?!?!?! Fortunately, that could be fixed with a touch of paint. _________________ carolynn

| Thanks Martin for more pictures, 2 great walk arounds! :) Susanne, I remember the discussion around the teeth that Papo cape buffalo has in his upper maxila, we identified it as a mistake once all bovids don't have the upper incisors! Thanks for the link, it is always nice to know a little more about cows! |

| Think the Papo cows are great and have quiet a few myself. Also like the fact that they make different breeds of cattle. However the grazing Simmental while the modelling is great, all the Simmental cattle that I have seen have white faces with or without eye patches so the coloured face is incorrect. There is also a Black Simmental in the USA. |

The bulls you mention are fantastic But some of the cows are great als, IMHO For those who don`t know what we are talking about, here they all are up till 2012 : The first ones are a bit strange, but enormously charming Blondes d`Aquitaine Ups...I can see I forgot to take a picture of the Montbeliarde-cow She is the same mould as the blonde-cow. Picture later The first piebalds The first brown/white ones Then came the Salers cow, - I think it is a masterpiece And the limousines are wonderful also Then the more ordinary, but still nice ones . Simmentals: Piebald : To complete the herd, here are the bulls : The Camargue-bull Texas bull Simmental bull _________________ SUSANNE |
