| Congratulation Susanne West-Germany has a special place in my collection because I played with in the 1960's and 70's . Jean Hoffler also made a woodland serie for the "Jacquet" rusks |

| Thankyou, Andreas Yes, it may well be a forest elefant, the shape of the ears and the number of toes are not right, but the shape of the body surely looks like this wonderful, rare creature WOW! Christope those models are fabulous !!! Funny enough I just won some last night, but they are not painted Ohhh, I hope to get that red deer some day...paint or not Good to have something to keep looking for, as Croccobert says _________________ SUSANNE |

| Lots of wonderful animals here. I have just two I think that were part of trads or gifts from friends in Europe. I really like those forest animals, and hadn't seen that series before _________________ Tim :) ToyAnimal.info - The Toy Animal Collecting Wiki Animoblog Animobil.info Playmobil Animals

| Susanne, congratulations for your new additions! I like these figures! Thanks also Christophe for remembering that I have another fox to keep searching for it as Susanne Says! Most of the figures have funny ears! :) The red deer stag is very beautiful indeed! |

| Nice to see you're addicted to them now,..i kept Bison and Elephant for me. Forest elephant? Why? Just because of the tusks? Don't you think this is a kind of artefact of the time they were made?

| Of course, it is a kind of artefact... Every model, new or old has some kind of artefact Some looks like Savannah elephants and some more like Forest... And sometimes I need to choose |

| Congrats on your first Jean models Harriet! The correct name is Jean Höffler indeed. Often, whennot mostly marked with West-Germany, as it was still West-Germany in that time. I had lots of them in the 1960's and 1970's, although i didn't like them so much, as they were to flat and colourless, which is true of course, and i was already spoiled with better models, although mostly copies of more known brands. Like Christophe mentioned, they were sold or given away in France, marked with Jacquet, and here in the Netherlands branded with the name "De Gruyter", which was a supermarket chain in that time. Besides the farm-, zoo-, and forest-series, they made cowboys and Indians, knights, and lots of accesoires belonging to all of these series. Often they were packed in blisters, sometimes boxes for bigger models and sets, marked with the brand "Big", the logo was a kind of longhornbull. I want to show you here my collection of them, not to take over your tread, but to show you the wide range in models they made. Forest-Set, not in my collection, just to show you, i do have most of the animals I still miss the fox and the seal. _________________ http://www.collectorsquest.com/collector/1313/willybacoman

| Thank you Susanne and Willy for sharing. Those are really interesting figures! I do like the stalking fox (and the fellow walking with his dachshund(?), very charming). But there are so many of the figures that are interesting. Willy, I hope you get a hold of the fox and the seal. |

| Welcome you all! But i like your pictures to of course! I forgot that i miss the roe-deer doe to, it is on the very first pic of the forest set indeed. Besides that, those colour-variations, and variations of what is under the model, West-Germany, Jaqcuet or De Gruyter. I don't hunt for them specially, or i must see something special in a lot. Mostly they are very cheap to get, otherwise in mixed lots of the 1960's and 1970's. I love to buy those big lots and boxes, always some goodies in them! _________________ http://www.collectorsquest.com/collector/1313/willybacoman

| Thanks guys! Yes, i can be a real golddigger sometimes indeed! My eyes are always open for some bargains, and not only in this field! I love fleamarkets, but stupidly enough, i almost never visit them, maybe because i know how much goodies there are, and how much money i would spend... And money is the thing which is limited since about 13 years, so i have to do with what i have available... But that makes the hunt even more exiting sometimes, and when you get something you want badly, for a very nice price, or even a bargain, my heart starts to jump! _________________ http://www.collectorsquest.com/collector/1313/willybacoman
