| Gone are the days, because mass collectors have forbearing looked down to the unfortunate people who gathered figures from plastic, already quite a while. Already than was paid for with the "good old DM" prices beyond the 2,000 German marks could be achieved to limit for hard plastic figures. Now delete was used but in the auction house a new remarkable brand in their auction on 3rd March 2012.A Roman Cornubläser marching was incorporated into euro in painting 1 (Hausser model 8405) After fierce bidding battle in 2,900,00. This rarity cost Euro including buyer's premium and VAT to be paid so about 3,500.00.An enormous and totally exaggerated price for a this seems at first glance to be 7 cm of Elastolin plastic figures.Considering however that collectors so far an only Roman figure in painting 1 - the marching Optio 8402 - is known, whose Echtheit no question stands, so the price due to the rarity of this piece is not so surprising. Date: 08.03.2012Author: Volker ReichmannPhotos: Volker ReichmannFor rare plastic figures in equally rare painting already paid very high prices in the past few years. And so the realization has prevailed now also in the Elastolin hard plastic market, top rarities to justify indeed a best price. The future will show whether it now but this comes that plastic collector look down full of pity on the friends of figures on the ground. | That's the reason why I don't collect brands. I'm sure that it is not the quality of the figure that makes the price be so high but the fact of being rare and the goal of some collectors is to complete a series or a brand. It happens with many kinds of collections. :) |
