The mojo beautyful swan

Swans are beautyful !
They are also large and powerful, - as a child I was really scared of them, because one attached my dog

But I am not scared of them any more, - not more scared than I am of tigers

I was vary happy to get hold of the mute swan from Mojo and here are some pictures of a WONDERFUL model .. this is perhaps the model I like best of the swan-models I have

As white models are difficult ( for me ) to take pictures of in sunlight, I have tried to use a grey background and artificial light. Sorry if it is a little boring

Isn`t it amazing how different they are ?
Same bird, almost same pose, and still so very unlike each other

I only wished that we would see more species of swans, - the whooper swan, for instance.

Ah, Susanne! Thanks for showing these scaring creatures! I always wanted a comparison picture between the Mojo and CollectA swan. I confess I have a huge admiration for the CollectA figure, surely my favourite CollectA before Mojo era. It is good to see that the Mojo is unless as nice and that's a good news for us, collectors.
I like new species but I don't mind to see the same species when they have quality. And as I always remember, CollectA and Mojo only released a single swan while other better stablished brands are always making the same swan species in a repeated way. :)

I would love to see some more species as well You are 100% right about it! Trumpeter swan, Whooper swan or black necked I think Black swans were available from brands Papo and Science and Nature, Whooper swan also from Kayiodo but other species I haven't seen as a figures yet

Unfortunately Papo black swan is a black mute swan!: Science & Nature is really a black swan.

I'm a little intimidated by swans actually. Because they always start hissing and they're so huge : D

Swans can be very dangerous, they can easily break your arm - I've heard of some people being badly injured because of getting too near their nests or young. They are extremely protective birds.
I'm wary of them too, they're such big birds, you don't want to mess with them!

We talked about the black swans, so I have tried to take pictures of the 3 that I have

From left : Safari, Science & Nature, and Papo.

None of them are perfect, but the least accurate is the Papo one, - Black swans have white swing feathers, like the Safari swan has.

Only the S & N swan has the ruffeled feathers on the rump, and only the Safari one has the white tip on the beak

Oo I like the Papo one, even if it isn't accurate. Interesting pictures Susanne, thanks for posting them

That's very interesting watching the black swans altogether! :)
I confess I almost bought the Papo black swan the first time I saw it in shop due to its spectacularity but inf fact the only in my wish list is the S&N.

It seems like I didn't check the Mojo topics for a while, otherwise I wouldn't miss this great swan. Still no Mojo in my collection, but this one looks very tempting. Just checked on MPV, not available yet.
