The LISANTO Black rhinoceros walkaround by Kikimalou

In april, I received a model I was searching without success for years now. It is not the most accurate, the most beautiful, the oldest, the rarest or the more expensive of my black rhino models... It is not alas the cheapest too  
But since I saw it on the web, I felt in love... I think there is a lot of poetry in    Some old toys have this rare magic in my eyes, they bring something warm and flavour-craving that enjoy your mind and bring us a bit of childhood. I'm sure this model have this magic.

Christophe, I find almost nothing about Lisanto online. Could you write a small description of them that I could add to the Toy Animal Wiki?
A list of animals they definitely made would be helpful too

Tim, I nearly know nothing about the LISANTO company. It is, as far as I know a DDR company wich produced papiermache and composition models. I guess Effelderboy or Plahotiere could help us with this brand...

Company history:-Company was founded in 1908 by Anton Roeder (1878-1940)-Range: ships, toy sleigh and caravan-first Wild West figures around 1920 in 9 cm size-1947 Resumption of production with animal and civil figures, as well as WW figures-1953 new process for production of figure (Igetex hollow cast) (up to approx. 1959)-1959 Replacing the mass by plastic figures-1972 Nationalization and connection to VEB Toyland-Range: 1. series of figures on the large mass (9 cm), 11 cm series (pre war), 7 cm-Vollmasse series (1947-1953) with accessories such as carriages, campfires, tents, bear, Buffalo and pets, Igetex-hollow-cast series (1953-1959) with accessories such as carriages, campfire, Totem, bear, Buffalo, dogs, Fort parts, Indian and Trapper cabins, landscapes and grottoes; 1959 begins the production of plastic figures
