2015 is a great year for snakes figurines. Not less than 5 new models, three from Schleich, two from S&N. The two last ones were sculpted by one of our honorable member Minizoo.
Three of them have already a topic on STS, here is the fourth:The S&N Red-bellied black snake (Pseudechis porphyriacus)!
This poisonous snake is native to Eastern Australia. Despite a potentially lethal venom, its bite isn’t generally fatal due to the snake usually choosing to inject little venom toxin.
This snake is glossy black on the dorsal surface and red, crimson or pink in colour on the lower sides and belly. It can reach up to two meters in length. It is ovoviviparous, and can give birth to alive young in individual membranous sacs (between 8 and 40).
The S&N Red-bellied black snake seems to be made in two parts glued together but you only see this with an eagle eye
.
And now, a few pics of the excellent S&N model
