| Well here we go then :) Keeping it short is normally my main objective, but usually it may be a bit longer than expected, okay! Here is how it all began: Back in 1976 when I was born my first dinosaur well was not a dinosaur to some point it was this 1976 Dimetrodon from the brand Imperial: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]As you see it's dated 1976, my birth year xDD You will have to click to enlarge it,to see 1976 printed under the Imperial Logo [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]It was probably given to me at birth, I truly can't remember but yeah it probably triggered my future to collect dinosaurs, I also was given a big rubber snake my mother told me, but even that is all way too vague. to even remember hehe :) From 1980 to about 1995 I collected Chinasaurs & Dinosaurs alike, ya know them everyday rubber and plastic dinosaurs you could buy all over the place, not only dino's but also the odd looking dragons, monsters, snakes, lizards, crocs, snakes, rats, mammals, sharks and gators! You name it, ghost busters toys it all added up to these four boxes: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Which I have sold to my partner Tyrantqueen and my Sister for her 6 year old son :) But it is fun to show what these boxed have in them hehe, this was before and during my Dino-Riders collecting days. Box One: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Box Two: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Box Three: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Box Four: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Here the Dino-Riders Collection: Top Row: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Middle Row: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Bottom Row [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Complete: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]As you can see my oldest prehistoric reptile, the 1976 Imperial Dimetrodon can also be seen in that collection, and it still gives me many good memories. Around 1989 when I had a lot of Dino-Riders and many of these Chinasaurs, my Karate Shihan Sir Alan Burdett organized an interview of me and my Dino collection in the Bunbury Mail, which was the biggest Dino collection known in Western Australia of that time, I had 286 Dino's then and yeah I have a picture of this day too: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And nowadays I collect models from CollectA, Schleich, Papao, Kaiyodo, Colorata and Carnegie/Safari Ltd, these models are very accurate and good Dino models are finally easy to find these days. AS Growing and taking care of Orchids, I also made a display here or some call a Diorama, well it's not a real diorama but that large Amethyst which I bought @ Grottes Du tarn in France is the center of everything and it lured all my Steggies and that Spino also. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Here a better closeup :) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]My favorite Dinosaurs are the Stegosaurids which I nickname Steggies, I just love them, as for favorite prehistoric reptile that ever lived the Tylosaurus Proriger which you can see in the bottom row of the Dino-Riders collection as I have the Carnegie/Safari Ltd Tylosaurus Proriger :) Tyrantqueen also sent me these two beautiful Pliosaurs as a gift of a lifetime friendship, as I have also given her some gifts that were very Dino based, we often give each others things like this, I it's so cool we have the same hobby and yes my friends miracles they do exist, anyways we believe in miracles <3 She gave me these two the Carnegie/Safarie Ltd Kronosaurus a probably one of the best Kronosaurus mdoels I seen so far and the rare and famous Liopleurodoon from Invicta the monochrome one, these were famous in the late 80's and it's still one of the best sculpted Liopleurodons I ahve seen alongside the Safari Ltd Liopleurodon which can be seen in the Bottomrom of my DR collection also :) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Rear view: [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And another view of the other side :) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I have so much MOAR to show you people here, but that part is mainly based on books, as for the Dino's I have forgotten I will edit this post or post them as later forgotten ones hahah All pics are clickable to larger ones, so if you have high bandwidth connections feel free to enjoy all my pics at their highest qualities!

| Thanks for showing such impressive collection under a great story! My favourite is surely the Imperial dimetrodon, as you are saying, probably the responsible for a hobby that you enjoy. :) I think these sea prehistoric reptiles are all very interesting. I am a curious about them although I don't have a single one in my collection. I'm curious to check your opinion about the new tylosaurus by Papo once you are an enthusiast of this creature. |

| Ahhh thanks Roger! As for that 1976 Dimetro yeah he is the cause of my Dino life perhaps, which would make sense, kinda amazed I still have that littleguy, btw the fruit in that bowl are Mango's xD As for the Papo Tylosaurus , that one I do like, even that it shows a Retro feel to it, I do plan on getting that one, my Partner Tyrantqueen has this Tylo btw, The other Marine reptiles I forgot to make pics of are two Carnegie/Safari Ltd. Mosasauruses from 1991, them green ones, they are pretty old but look very similar to the Papo Tylosaurus as the neck is posed :) One day I also plan on buying the Shane Foulkes Tylosaurus Proriger Resin and let it be painted by Tyrantqueen as I envy her art skills greatly Kinda out of teh moenyzz now rofl, oh well this day will surely come and every new item I also plan to post in this thread in the future, unless we have a Recent Acquisitions thread? That might be an idea to make one, if we don't have one :) |

Thanks ken yeo! Yer a lot of memories those Dino-Riders give me, they kept me away from the bad things. The idea was a brilliant one too, mixing the old with the new and still they were a very successful toy line of the mid 80's to early 90's. Sadly the series was short lived, naval units were never planned nor made, but everyone wanted Naval units over everything else. Never came oh well, they are still very unique to see even today, they shall always stand out :) |

Also a nice Clear Quartz Crystal from East Germany [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Here the entire set opposite my bed :) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]That art is what I painted on that PC back in 1996 and yes I still haz it xDDD Here something special I bought off ebay about amonth ago an Allosaurus hand puppet which I named Rexie xD [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Here Rexie takes on Darth Maul! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Rexie is surprised to see Tyrantqueen pop up on line! Of course I am there with Rexie! xD [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Rexie types a message back! but he clicked the wrong button xDD [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Rexie is a big fan of Tyrantqueen My Orchid display has some nice Invicta's also :) Like these two Mamenchisaurus' [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And this Brachiosaurus! xD [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Anyways that is all for now more to come soon :) |

| The two mosasaurs are cute I like that chinasaur Edaphosaurus, very good looking for a chinasaur XD Is he missing a toe from his front foot? It's actually made by a company called Dor Mei It's kinda funny how it's labelled as an Edaphosaurus, it looks more like a Dimetrodon- I thought Edaphosaurus had a tiny tiny head? |

| The figure is superb and of course the large size also helps to introduce much more detail. But it is too large to put in a shelf, do you have a swimming pool? Thanks for sharing the pictures, information and links! :) |
