Walkaround new CollectA okapi :-)

Some time ago our Kikimalou asked me to take some closer photos of CollactA okapi male (from their new 2012 line ) I finally was able to take these photos few days ago and now I'm sending them here :)

I like this okapi very much by the way Especially face and eyes are excellent

Wonderful Walkaround Anna!! Thank you for the great pictures. This is one of my favorite figures; I can't figure out whether I like the Papo or the CollectA adult Okapi better, they are both excellent.

Scott, I still don't have Papo okapi, however it is on my wishlist I think both: COllectA and Papo are very, very nice figures of so beautiful animal

Thanks Ana for another great contribution to this forum with a fantastic walk arround. I'm completly devoted to the Papo okapi but this is surely the only that can compete with him. :)

Joan, this is a male, you can see because of the horns. But the Bullyland is a female!
Ana doesn't have the Papo okapi! But this figure will be popular and we will see comparison pictures very soon.

Someone should post better comparison pictures than these. I just took them, but under very low natural light, and it shows: the pictures are very grainy with poor resolution. But they can serve to temporarily satisfy Joan's curiosity and anyone else's who is interested in the comparison between the two.

For me, they are both great. After Anna's walkaround set, I am leaning towards favoring the CollectA right now.

Thank You so much for comparison photos of two okapis Scott I don't have Papo okapi but now it is even higher on my wishlist than before

Joan, yes both of these figures represents okapi males, only Bullyland made female okapi so far. However Papo looks more like younger male to me with this less stocky build and smaller horns and with his more carefree, cute, sleepy eyes I love them both

Indeed this forum is actually a trap. One comes here because he is a BIG SCHLEICH FAN and, soon or later, he will find himself becoming a BIG "SOMETHING ELSE" FAN We are dangerous

Thank you very much Scott! your pictures help me a lot. I have the Papo okapi but I think I will add the Collecta's one to my colelction :)

Yes Scott, the pictures are very useful and I cannot decide which one I like more. I saw the CollectA already but as I am satisfied with the Papo I'm not planing to buy it but it looks as good as Papo one and a must for any collector. They also fit nicely. One thing I'm sure, I like more these 2 than the Safari, Schleich or Bullyland ones. :)

Right! And btw.. i still think the Bullyland female with some very very little "more" instead of ribs will make a very nice Okapi which gave birth some time ago. Especially when it's also repainted

Yes, yes, these ribs on Bully okapi female Main reason why I still didn't buy her... Yes, she may need some vacation and epoxy clay medicines
