| This is my small extant animals collection. Oh actually, there is one more figure I got recently, which I still have to take a picture of. My main interest is in prehistoric animals which I'll get around to posting some other time. Unfortunately, that collection isn't all together as I have the majority of those at another location in storage. Anyway, from L to R: Gray wolf, wolf pup, baby panda, flamingo, Atlantic puffin, red panda, snow leopard, snow leopard cub. All Wild Safari pieces. | Red panda is so cute! Never seen them in real life, but all figures that represent them are funny and cuddly:)
And the puffin's also very nice. |

| LOVELY collection Yes, red pandas look even more nce and cuddly than the giant panda, I think, - but THEY BITE One escaped from a zoo here in Denmark some years ago. It had been a heavy blizzard at night and the snow lay so high that the little guy could walk over the fence . A farmer found it in his stable, - it took 3 men the whole morning and heaps of treats to get the cutie into a transport cage Those wolves look great. I don`t remeber seing pictures of them before If ever you have time, I would LOVE to se (a) close-up(s) of them |

I agree; that Safari wolf is one of the best out there (in my humble opinion). I like it better than either of the current Schleich. Mojo and Papo are its competitors in my view. The Safari howling wolf was one of my very first acquisitions as well. (I had only the Schleich moose and grizzly bear before I got it.) |

-Kristie The puffin was the first one I picked out. I think seeing Wildheart's puffin had a lot to do with me looking for one. For anybody who's interested, tomorrow I should have my other extant models photographed and posted. I picked up two small Safari pieces today (more based on the low price than favoritism, but good additions nonetheless). I'll also try to get some close-ups on those wolves |

| Thanks guys. I'm really starting to like collecting extant models now almost as much as the extinct ones, which I thought would never happen. |

| Okay here are my newest pieces which arrived a week ago. I would've posted sooner but my laptop now needs repair and I'm stuck using my old PC for now. I ordered all of these through TGF Toys and they are... Papo Nile Crocodile, Papo green T-rex juvenile, Mojo Fun Sable Antelope (my first Mojo, and the BEST Mojo - thank you all at this forum for making that happen before I was a member!), Schleich Okapi (first Schleich as well), Collecta Torosaurus & Climbing Koala (first Collectas!), and Wild Safari African Wild Dog & Arabian Oryx. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I wanted to share this because of the neat red tint I achieved by placing my finger over the flash of my camera. We have the Safari wolf cub at the local shop and after seeing your photos I might have to add him to my collection. :)
