I my opinion it is a Jaguarundi too, especially in compare with this pic [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I am not sure because i have it a long time. But it is in a very very similar style like the Playspaces animal figures. So i think it is from a Playspaces set. But i am not sure. |

| I bought such figure as Wing Mau puma on [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] 11 years ago. It would be great if it is jaguarundi but jaguarundi has no white marks on the head... |

| It is not easy to believe anyone considered to release a jaguarundi but the fact is that it works nicely. |

I think the head is still too big for a jaguarundi. |

| Sure it is big Christophe, it is also big for a puma and it is what is marked on this figure. Figures of dark pumas are not unusual and those Play Visions and etc. minis are often not very accurate. I remember the discussion around the badger. |

| Same mould for sure but probably not the same color version. These figures come in many different materials and colors. |

Figures of dark pumas are not unusual and those Play Visions and etc. minis are often not very accurate. I remember the discussion around the badger. I agree. I also believe that the manufacture was not willing to create a Jaguarundi. But it could be the best match for that figure. |

| As we use this topic also for TAW identifications, let me put it clear from my side. For TAW purposes it is a puma. We should respect the original identification unless we have evidences it is not the marketed/marked animal. Though, considering the dark color and the fact jaguarundis are not that different from pumas, I think it works as a jaguarundi for a collector wanting it. Not perfect as mentioned before but it is not perfect for a puma either. Now to get it more confusing, I'll remember that jaguarundis were placed into the Puma genus for a long time. |

| We have a few bluetong skinks on TAW but the only one which is not identified to the species level is the AAA figure. They're all listed to the genus level, if we find a good match to this figure, we can open species pages for all of them. What do you think about this banded specimen, could it be a common bluetong lizard? (Tiliqua scincoides) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Photo belongs to Valérie. |

It looks a good match to me. Do you think we should open species pages to the three species on TAW if we adopt this identification? |

| Thanks Christophe! A friend who collect dog figures suggested this Blip Toys figure to be a Miniature Pinscher instead of a Dachshund as it was previously listed. Since I've read the same exact opinion from Taylor on forum, I moved it to the suggested species but I would love to know other opinions. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| I would support minipin over dachshund also. The legs are too long and straight, and back too short for a doxie. It could even be a Dobie pup. |

Thanks Kelly, your two suggestions corroborate the other opinions. Even if some of the Blip Toys Dogs look like youngsters, I will keep it as a Miniature Pinscher unless we find some official information about how it was marketed or if more people agree it is a Dobermann pup instead. |
