| These figures were acquired as extras while buying other things, except for the pangolin, which I have had since I was a kid. The black panther is my favorite. He looks like he is stretching. I have gotten very tired of "stalking" leopard and jaguar toys. The big lion I kind of hated at first, but he has grown on me. He looks like a stylized lion from a Chinese painting. | Can you link me to the auction? I saw the small aaa pangolin on ebay once before. It was in with a lot of other toys but it did not go for very much. This was many months ago. I probably should have bid, but did not since I already had one. Here is another picture I found of my pangolin, taken last year [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I have also purchased this aaa pangolin. It is 14 inches long. My little one is 7 inches. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

There are several different species of pangolin. I bet a pangolin expert could tell which species these two figures were made from.

You know what is crazy? We used to own that white tiger and lion too! Sadly we gave them away or sold them when I was little. My favorite is the tiger. I have the baby figures for both and the cheetah and the Black leopard! But sadly my older brother was a bit of a chewer (I know gross!) when he had them so the cheetah and other snow leopard thing don't have tails. Also they are a bit beat up. I have a Hyena too form them. With any luck I will post pics of collection soon so you all can see them. Just check the collections every now and then. But crazy coincidence!

I emailed some pangolin experts and was told that these are most likely Chinese pangolins (Manis pentadactyla).

I wonder if AAA made any pangolins that were even bigger? I have their desert monitor also, and it is huge (about 40 inches long if the tail is straightened out).
