Harriet's schleich additions

Congrats Mihnea! I think the badger is my favourite Schleich 2011 figure! Wolverine the surprise species and the kudu was much better than I expected for a Schleich, Buffalos are great but not the best of the market! The deer is a poor figure and the fox could be better for a 3rd generation!

I think the Badger is one of my favourites for this year too. I was really pleased with the Buffalo and calf. I'm not sure about the deer yet.

Just last week I came across an ebay auction for the Schleich Musk ox. The picture of the item wasn't very good and made the animal look in bad shape. So I guess that's why not many people bid on it. I thought, well if it is in poor condition I can always touch it up with a bit of paint.
But it turned out that it was practically perfect! Just a few rubs on the horns!! I was so pleased, I'd been wanting this guy for some time.

Congratulations Harriet! He is also one of my favourite Schleich hoofed mammals!

And it is normal for a musk ox to have rubs on his horns, isn`t it

Congrats Harriet! This one is a real treasure for me too. I was waiting for him for years so... I´m happy he´s a member of your collection now! :) And BTW he really looks in perfect shape :)

I thought I'd buy the Ibex before he becomes hard to get - as he's retired. I noticed a lot of sites were out of stock and they probably won't get them back in again, so I bought one.

and with the Bullyland Ibex for size

and hedgehogs, these were a gift as I hope to get a hedgehog for the garden, we have so many slugs!

Ohhh, your photoes are WONDERFUL, - and the figueres also, of course

Yough, don`t mention slugs, - we have some that are really, really creepy, - they even come into the house sometimes

They are an invasive species, they call them Ibereian slugs, but I am not sure that is where they come from

I prefer Schleich's ibex over Bully's, the first one is more refined, more natural-looking. Also, I'm not too impressed with Bully's rear

I hate slugs, we get the really big ones, green/yellow colour and they go EVERYWHERE. I even found trails in my bedroom!!
I've had a few accidents when shutting the hens away, it's dark and I can't see where I'm going and I've stepped on a few

Thanks Robert - the Schleich is probably the more realistic of the two, but I do love the Bullyland one
