In one of my 'to repair one day'-boxes I found some more horses
This one is just marked 'Germany' and sadly it has broken legs - is it Elastolin too?

And the next four are either marked 'Germany' or 'Lineol Germany'. Unfortunately a former owner slapped a fat coat of paint on them. I started to repair their cracked legs, but haven't yet begun to sand and shape the clay

Could they be customized Lineol?
I'm not very good with it but check here, there are some similarities, I guess!

They surely have got spots

Apart from the "fat coat of paint" they are beautyful models...well, I even like the spots

Ha ha, you got me! I must admit I only bought them because of the spotted ones - in the seller's pic they didn' look so ugly. But one day I'll repair their legs, sand that thick enamel-like paint off und give them some decent coats

This one is a well known controversial model... It is enough unusual to be suspect, not sure it is a real postWW2 Lineol...

Indeed a 1940 to 1960 LINEOL, the most common painting is black

Thank you all for your help identifying these oldies Two of the standing horses are marked 'Lineol'. The running pinto is marked 'Germany' and the spotted one shown above might be marked Germany too, but I can't read it because a former owner slapped so much paint on them

They are all LINEOL mold but the only one with LINEOL original colors is the drafthorse.

Some LINEOL have a LINEOL trademark and some have a GERMANY trademark.

Well, I've not repaired the draught horse yet. It is still stowed away in one of the many boxes - sigh  
But there are loads of new composition horses I never showed, so enjoy

You don't even have to repair your draft horse if you don't want to. I just find it so beautiful...
Talking about beautiful, all these composition horses are just special... I am more or less familiar with some of them although I only have a single composition horse, but which brand is this beautiful Arabian?

sorry, I have no clue what brand the Arabian is - it is not marked. Interesting are the ears, they are still intact, because the are made of metal. The body is "Masse" (composition) like the other horses. I did not even find it on Google, but I stumbled onto a nice Museum-Site http://www.figurenmuseum.de/massetierkatalog/
Sadly my Arabian is not listed there, but lots of other old composition animals of different brands.

Thanks for your reply and link. Actually, I use this website to identify some composition figures though you're right. Your horse is not there.
I suspect it is a Pfeiffer from Austria but that's conjectural, I am sure Sue and Lesley know, I am not sure they'll see the topic.
