Orangutan with Baby 2007 Wild Safari Wildlife, walkaround by Kikimalou

I would like t share some pics of the female Orang-utan with baby SAFARI Ltd. made in 2006. This is probably the kind of figurines everybody have seen in catalogues and forget quickly. Not famous as the retired SCHLEICH female orang-utan, not impressive as the SAFARI Ltd WW Orang-utan, the kind of model wich could live without seeing the light of a shelf, have a topic on STS...
The kind of model no serious collectors would open a topic saying " Hey, hey, hey, Holy m..., I got her at last   "... I guess you see what I mean.  

Actually this model grew in my mind for some time now and suddenly I discovered I couldn't resist more to buy her  
Once I did that, I discovered also that I needed to make some pics and shared them with my good friends on STS  

So, maybe it's time to tell you: Hey, hey, hey, Holy m..., I got her at last  

Of course the sculpture is from SAFARI Ltd        And the painting too      But it's time for a crazy monkey to stop speaking and let the place for a peaceful ape

It usually happens to me that after seeing your walkarounds that figurine jumps onto my wishlist, but this one didn't. Probably because of the bad paint job.

The baby looks very human like from some angles. That's curious, that I started on forum thinking in you as a orang lover. I remember your enthusiasm with the crazy Papo orang and also your excitment with the fabulous WW orang. So why resist to this mom with baby? Bad paintings from Safari were never impeditive for you and not being brilliant it is nicely sculpted.

Thank you Rogério. Yes I'm an Orang lover A mandrill lover too... And a pangolin lover... I love also Cape buffaloes... Did I talked to you abut my passion for sable antelopes ?

What I like the most with this model is Love. The sculptor perfectly captured the bond between the baby and his mother, it is fantastic !

That's a very sweet aspect of this figure. Actually I can see perfectly that the baby looks very confortable interacting with is Mother. In fact it looks he is saying:
- Mom, I love you! You are even better than a bus... have you ever seen a bus climbing trees?
