I recently went to the Roger Williams Zoo in neighboring state Rhode Island. I took a lot of photos but I wanted to share these photos of two giraffes "necking" at the zoo. I have seen it on shows but never in real life. They really wack each other. I also included some animals the forum is fond of...

Shocked That "neck-fight" looks quite dramatic !
Uhhh, I hope they don`t break those long, fragile looking necks !

I love the animals you show, all are gorgeous, beautyful creatures.

It is fun to see how the versatility of species in the zoos is developing.
When I was a child ( Yes, we DID have zoos back then Wink ) it was only the well known elefant, zebra, a few mandrills and such scratch

We do not have the best zoos in New England but other states such as FL (Miami Zoo) and California (San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park) are tremendous.

I actually just recently went on a school field trip to our zoo and saw the giraffes necking! I too had never seen it in real life. Great photos! I love all of them! Very Happy
