Someone told me this! And he has contacts to Schleich, because he lives in Schwäbisch Gmünd.

Looks like Schleich finally updated their website No entire list of the retired, but those to be retired are tagged. Still I stumbled on some bugs, and what are vultures doing in the main picture for Europe? Or is it me who's not updated with my fauna?

I like the Macaw more than I thought I would. It's quite nice.

I'm not sure what to think about the Peacock though. I can't tell if I like or don't like the way they've represented the spread of feathers. It's interesting what they've done with the clear plastic. I'll be interested to hear others' opinions.

I like the Swan a lot (I expected to like it) and I think I like the Koala too.

I also like the Macaw and Koala. Don't know what to think about that Peacock, I have to see it in stores, but the new birds (except the Hyazinth Macaw) and farm animals aren't available over here yet.

Peacock feathers are supposed to be pretty thin, thin enough that you can see through them, but I am not sure if Schleich has pulled off the clear plastic tail, I'd have to see it in person. Could you post a pic that shows the body and tail better? I am curious to see how it is attached. Otehrwise, congrats on your great new figures!

The fairy horse is the Tennessee Walker mare.

Thanks for the photos, Alex. I really like the panther, the vultures, and the baby hippo...I still have to see the adult hippo in person to determine if I like or not. The color is much better and more realistic than the older version. Do you happen to have a Mojo hippo that you could take with the new Schleich hippo?

I do like these pictures. The 2013 releases look much better in person than in the catalog. The peafowl cock, though, does appear a little inferior to its predecessor but that is due to the transparent material used.

My boy and I mostly just collect the Dinos and Wildlfe, so I was really interested in a few of these, but now that the pics are starting to appear from collectors, I think i'm only going to collect a few this year. I'm a little disappointed with the Grizzly Bears. I was sort of hoping for some really great sculpts, but these are not very well depicted, and look very cartoonish. The only one that is slightly decent is the cub. The Grizzly that Papo put out this year, that is in the standing pose, looks much more accurate and better done.

I feel the same way about the Chimps. I don't think they have properly hit the chimpanzees in any of their depictions yet. However, those gorillas they put out last year were very well done, especially the male and female, and I was sort of hoping they could hit the same level of accurate detail with the Chimps, but the female version just doesn't look right. The Black Panther also looks a little hokey...

Those seals, African Penguin, Griffon, and the Beaver look awesome though. The marine life figures that they are putting out this year also look amazing. The Blue Whale, Sea Turtle, and new Shark look very awesome. I think all of those will be bought this year.

Some are ok to good, some are very poor as usual...
Horses are mostly ok, this is one of Schleichs strong point, although i don't like those girly things they do with the manes, but for horse-people i guess its ok...
The black panther seems to have rocks in his mouth instead of teeth, so big they are, not in length, but they are just to big!
The peacock male misses the blue ringed spots on his tail, so sad...
The parrots and vulture do look nice for that!
The male brown bear and cub are ok, the female does smile a little bit to much for me...
The otter is just to fat in proportions, specially the tail, sadly enough, otters are nice normally...
The chimps are a big improvement to the oldr ones, so cheers for that, the smaller size seems to fit better with the other animals to.
The beaver seems ok to, and don't forget Christophe, it was very ok to have a beaver in the 1970's, haha...
The new sealife seems good to, although i am curious about the size of the blue whale, a very big one in the real 1:32 scale would be nice, and why not, if they can make big dino's?
The African penguin is a nice choice to, although he looks alittle bit chubby?...
So afterwards, i have to see them in real life, and make another judgement then.

The male chimp is not bad, but I think if the ears were a bit smaller the figure would look much better!

As we have in humans, some have bigger and even floppy ears, but i can assure you, that they hear better!
