| So, Hello again all! There have been a warm or hot summer and now it's again time to show some horses who have been locked up in my closet way too long time My custom horses who're gonna move abroad are also in good condition, Roger's second one need only a bit mane, Alvaro's two horses need just paint, tail added, and the other one a bit more. Slowly, super slowly but safely And LeeAnn's secret horse need only the tail! You all can thank my drill which broke down, just great timing But no worries I can't reveal their unfinished horses but while the other horses are drying, I always do my own customs so here are some; The Longneck Jack Yes, the most poor color and the hooves need some dark color on..=.= What do you think? Only negative feedback allowed [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Yeah I was lazy and the trampoline was kind to me XP [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]I'm just totally bored with him [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And here's something more. He's also gelding, but original model was the Papo white arab. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Nothing to say. Someone who really know how to paint something more interesting, I need help! please! That's all now! Have a great day _________________ Jonas Animals are my friends. I don't eat my friends. | I haven't anything to add or help. I like horse figures in common colors too, they're less distracting and increases the realism. I am glad you're updating again this thread with your great pictures and wonderful customs. About my 2nd horse, I hope you're not waiting that the mane grows naturally! Kidding, no hurries at all, you already know. |

| Great new customs Jonas Though I think it's not completely fair to ask for negative feedback only but as an artist I do understand that you want to improve yourself and by messages like "Great new customs Jonas " you don't learn too much However, encouraging posts can improve your work too, in a way But let me call it constructive criticism instead of negative feedback As Roger said, common colours can be nice too! Your customs are already interesting because of their pose so they don't need complicated coat patterns. But if you want to try something new you could maybe paint a sabino? Wild colour can be nice too or what about a roan (with or without hairs drawn on with a white pencil). If you want to look through some more unusual colours I can recomand you this website. It's also very interesting as it tells you how horse colours work. As for the two custs above, I agree with LeeAnn: the front hooves should be pale (maybe striped) indeed. As for the chestnut, maybe you could add some lighter shading on it's girths and pasterns/fetlocks? It isn't really necessary, but it could give it slightly more debt. I hope you can use this "constructive criticism" and I'm very curious to see more of your works _________________ [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Anne-Joke [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] ajs.artistry - Instagram AJs Artistry Shop - Etsy |

| They are absolutely stunning, I love them, especially the black one, if you ever want to find him a new home As Anne-Joke said, you could try to add some shading on the fetlocks, girths, and (something I tend to do quite often) on the flank and the stifle. I tend to do shading on other parts to, like inside the ears, and on the horses chest, just a little bit to create more depth and make the horse more lifelike, but that's something personal, you don't have to do that.. If you want, I could see if I have got a picture which shows what I mean. |

| Here's my favorite shading reference, I think it will help you. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Obviously the coloration should not be this stark, but this is to show you how the layers of color should appear on the model. |

Great to see new horses in this thread.
I think on the black/grey one, the only paint improvement needed are the hooves. With coronets, the hooves should be pale, not dark. I like the grey a lot, such a kind face! Great to be here! That was good help! I don't know why did I loaded the photos here in the first place. They were so unfinished But your help was very helpful, and there is the new Longneck Jack and his friend Thank you, LeeAnn! - widukind wrote:

I hope you can use this "constructive criticism" and I'm very curious to see more of your works First, That was extremely helpful and kind, A-J! Haha, I was feeling so bad b'cos of them so maybe that was a mistake to ask that! Yes, that's why I've said that I'd love to see more great artitst here to tell me what's wrong, how can I be better etc. I appreciate your all lovely messages and nice feedback its not about that. But awesome that I can still get some advice from an artist like you! Yeah.. maybe... I've noticed I'm not so good in painting horses, I like more the customizing part. In this year I really said myself-I wanna be better to paint horses- and I really want... Oh I loved you suggestions! Thank you thank you thank you! I really got so much energy and ideas and enthusiasm to paint those magnificent colors into model horses.. I promise that I will paint sabino and other cool coats! And like LeeAnn's your help was very nice too! I got them right, I think. It really make them look so much better! Check the photos and tell what do you think? = ) Tahnk you for this all, constructive criticism etc - Pluisje1998 wrote:

I added something and you can see the result I'm very happy you wanted to help me too - Animal_Figures_4U wrote:

How awesome you decided to write your very first message just to my topic So there's something what you liked Your words makes me so so happy, Wolf! really, that was so nice to read! Well, I don't know I just destroy the horse and the rest is history But hey, should I make kind of presentation what ever it is, where is shown with photos how I start etc..? Thank you!!!!
