| Your horse came in the box too! How wonderful! Woohoo! A few questions for you my friend... Do you know what years that horse was produced? Is it a mare or stallion? Definitely Arabian. Was it designed after any named horse (like the Satchmo model)? Any story that you know of as to why they have a permanent halter on it? I guess it is a halter, as a bridle it is unusual, there being no bit in the horses' mouth to keep it in place and no strap over the nose that in "real life" would keep it on. And the last question is: What country was it MADE IN.............? ~ the other Sue ~

| It was made in Germany. It says `99 under the belly and was procuced for 3 years acoording to Gascher`s. On my homepage I have put some scans of the box. The artist Ingo Koblischek made the models, there are 6 all in all. 3 stallions, 2 mares and a foal. http://www.dyr-og-dimser.dk/36643047 It is definitely a stallion But to my knowledge it has no named model, - it exists as bay model, too. You are right, it does not look real without neither bridle nor strap, fantastic it stays there Maybe you have Gaschers`s book ? they are on pages 126 - 127. Funny thing is, I got the foal first, quite some years ago, together with some other horses in the same bid. They are larger than other Schleich horses, so I put tis one aside as a "you can`t be lucky every time"-horse |

| A big congratulation on this fabulous catch Susanne! It is one of the hardest models to get from the Schleich artist-horses... And you have the foal too, as i understood, great job! I am sure they will find a special place in your collection. _________________ http://www.collectorsquest.com/collector/1313/willybacoman

| Thaks to all ! It makes it even more great to get him when you send greetings Yes, the foal was the first one I got, several years ago. It is a little male, - a colt, I think they are called. Poor guy does not have a warm box for the winter, but I keep him warm in the sitting room If ever I find a foal with box, the first one will stay with me as long as I live, I hope |

| You are old as you feel yourself Susanne! And yes, i know how to please a woman, haha. And some "older" women can look better then some younger girls sometimes! It is the radiation that some women have, and the age doesn't matter then... _________________ http://www.collectorsquest.com/collector/1313/willybacoman

| Congratulations on your horse. It is beautiful and a big congrats for finding one in a box. They aren't that easy to find in boxes, at least not very affordable when you do. |

The funny thing was that at the same time these horses were on auktion without the boxes, - and they sold considerably more expensively |

| Red hot lover? Mmmmhhh, maybe yes, you should ask my Caribbean sweetheart, haha. Now that is strange that this horse in box was cheaper then one without, as it is hard to find one in box anyway... But the main thing is here, that you got it, and it is one of the rarest in this series as far as i know, and i already lost one to Amy... (withou box i believe...) _________________ http://www.collectorsquest.com/collector/1313/willybacoman

Yes Willy, it was without box, but I believe it was the dark arabian I stole away from you. Sorry for that, but it sure looks good with my others. It is strange that the one with box sold for less than without box. |

| Wow. I can't believe those prices. That is amazing. I didn't pay over 100 euros for any of mine. I guess demand has gone up. Glad I got mine when I did. |

| Oh, you could be right Amy, but i am happy that it is in your collection, mine will come in time, no worries... :) Besides to that, you work on the Schleich-front mainly, and i work on many at one time, because i collect all of them.... I found and won some stuff on minimum 12 brands this last week, so it will keep me happy always... _________________ http://www.collectorsquest.com/collector/1313/willybacoman
