PostSubject: Re: My collection from Peru   My collection from Peru - Page 3 EmptyWed Oct 27, 2010 9:18 am

Fantastic ! Thanks for sharing this, I am certainly inspired !!!!

Do you mind if I save the pictures of the studio on my computer ?
I want to show them to my son next time he is here, maybe he can make me something a little similar (though, of course it doesnt make my camera better, - he, he, or the photographer behind it either Laughing )

One more question, - what kind of bulp do you use? I bought a 100W bulp, but it makes the pictures yellow Sad

I love you
Susanne

Hi Susanne,

You can copy any picture you want without any problem.

Regarding the studio, it is very easy to build as it is made out of PVC water pipes for easy assembly and disassembly. The bulbs are energy saving bulbs and my camera is set to the bulb temperature.

Try to find bulbs with 5500 K temp and you will get the best color from your figurines.

If you have any other question on how to build it or any other thing just let me know.

Best regards

Great collection and pics Allejandro, muy bien! Very Happy
I only want to know which kind of light you use behind your camera, as there must be some more light to make those pics, then the 2 bureau-lamps on the side... Rolling Eyes

PostSubject: Re: My collection from Peru   My collection from Peru - Page 3 EmptyThu Oct 28, 2010 6:47 am

Hi Willy, I only use those two lamps to take the pictures and also they are behind the white fabric to difuse the hard light over the figurines.

In order to have this ammount of light over the figurine I expose the picture for quiet a long time, arround 1 or 1.5 seconds so images are lighted up.

The first picture is as I use to take the pictures with the fabric and the two lights on the sides to minimize the shadows of the figurine.

thank you for the explanations Alejandro.

It gives me some ideas because I used natural light to do my pics. I use also a tripod but I always have to wait the afternoon to do so. I like the way you can esaily disassemble the studio. It was the reason why I avoid it.

Congratulations Alejandro! Fantastic pics again! The only thing I don't like it's the tags, without it it will be perfect...
The only tag I like is that from the tapir! :) :)
I will say again... I love more your Schleich animals than mine!!!

Untill now I have always ripped theese ugly tags off my stuff as soon as I could get my hands on them. They ARE ugly, I think.
But lately I have begun to hesitate, do I ruin the figuere Shocked
Hmm, I think not, they are SO much nicer without

You in almost figurines can easily take off the tags, keep and lately put it again. Do you remember the collectA yorkshire with the tag, it was not nice!

You can easily open the tags up, with a pointy thing like a sizzor or so Susanne.
Then take them off, put them together, and stick them in a stamp-album, to keep them clean and good, i did the same too. Idea
And it is quit easy to open them up again, if you need to do that, even after a long time!
By the way, the tags do colour the model after a longer period, specially the lighter parts, the tend to be yellowish then... Shocked

When Willy explained this to me Susanne, I was able to separate the tag by putting the pointy end of a metal pokey-thing (what you use to remove nuts from their shell...I forget what they are called...pokey-thing works for me, just like a do-hickey and a thing-a-ma-jig and a whatcha-ma-call-it...not real words in English... Laughing ) to gently stretch/separate the tag...and slipping it off over the foot or ear or leg, where ever Schleich chose to attach them. I have broken the tag accidentally if I was too aggressive. No Gentle is the magic word here. Wink

Congratulations Alejandro, lovely additions. The Parasaurolophus is nice, I never really look at Schleich dinos, as I only collect Papo's, but I like this one better than the Papo.
