| Hi, i'm looking for parrots (cocatoo,s , Ara's for exapmle) im 1/32, eventually 1/30 or 1/35 are also welcome. Also other birds in the same scales. Can anyone give some advice: which manufacterers make or made these birds? I am looking for this because of my Zoo-diorama. |

| I would also try dollhouse manufactures and sellers--they have small birds made for dollhouses. Sorry you are looking for bigger than dollhouse--getting my scales mixed up.

| In this [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] you can find some birds in 1:32 scale, I guess. Maybe not those you want but take a look. In vintage brands section of this forum, under Vintage brands catalogues, you can find some interesting information. |

In vintage brands section of this forum, under Vintage brands catalogues, you can find some interesting information. Roger, not sure that these are 1:32nd scale. I am sure they are 70mm or 1:22nd scale. I could be wrong so welcome any correction here. Chris, thanks for correcting! I have only few Hausser plastic figures, they are not much larger than Britains. Though, searching a little on EBAY, it is often refered the 70mm scale for human related series. Curious that the reference usually doesn't appear on animal figures but it only shows, as expected, that you are right. Also, in Toy Animal Wiki, it is written that Preiser used the 1:25 scale molds of Hausser what is the same of 70mm. |

| Another correction here... The birds in the Hausser Elastolin catalogue are from the 50mm series, so about 1:32, and the so called soft-plastic. I mean the wild birds in this case. In the farm series there are 2 scales(3000 and 4000 series), but not in all models as far as i know. The peacocks, turkeys, mute swan and white stork seem to be in the 1:25 scale only(3000 series), which were made again in hollow plastic by Preiser again to. The seperate series with 10 different birds were somewhat bigger then 1:32, and more in different scales. And there are 2 king penguins in a very big scale for Hausser to( nrs. 4120 and 4121), they are the same hight as the Schleich penguins. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Here is the page of the 1972 catalogue with the big penguins. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]This page is with the 50mm/1:32 scaled birds of prey. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]This page shows the 70mm/1:25 scaled farmbirds. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]This page is of the 1971 catalogue, and shows the wild birds in the 50mm/1:32 scale, you see the same penguins as before in the big scale.(about 1:22) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]And here are the wood birds in the 50mm/1:32 scale, pheasants, black grouses and caipercaillies. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]This is the box in which the birds series were sold. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]This is how the birds came in to me, still in bag with info card. and Starlux has lots of birds in the 1:32 scale to indeed... |

| thanks for the photo! I spent quite some time at the site off Dollhouse: the bird on the photo is to big for 1:32. This polytelis barrabandii is in real life about 30 cm long. But: i could buy and repaint one, it would make a perfect Ara maracana for example. |

| Eh, Willy! Sometimes I prevent to see your collection because sometimes it is hard! I love all these figures even most of them look ostriches when compared with the human figure, also the flamingo, a very good idea for a prehistoric bird. I love them all, the Australian pelican is even sillier than they look actually. Great brand, great design, fantastic collection! |

| Thanks guys! Yes Rogerio, this pelican is from the older Starlux series, so it looks a little bit silly indeed, but i was happy to get him some years ago. The scale is more in the region of 1:24/25 then 1:32, but that doesn't matter. I forgot that i have the rhea to, i didn't have a picture yet. |
