| SUSANNE, Harriet, stef1000, animalluvr6, aandmkw, Isabeau, cattlecollector, Philter4: Thank you all for your comments. Regarding the pose, this model is a 1:48 replica of an actual museum specimen in America. I wanted my own copy of this elephant so I made one myself. - Ana wrote:
- AMAZING! Wonderful! And in such beautiful and original pose, wow! Big congratulations!!! (o)): (o)): (o)):
Also, very inspiring
Congratulations and thank You for sharing!!!
In this model is everything, character, realism. Animal looks powerful and delicate at the same time, it is sooo lifelike. He even looks like he is in older age, not just average.
Wow and one more WOW
Only one question: mold? Copies?
Oh, and BTW, I have sent You PM Thanks, this is actually an older bull, I'd estimate around 50 something years in age. - PeGe wrote:

mold mold mold This model was sculpted in the computer then 3D printed so once I work out a few problems in the model I may release it for people to order directly from the 3D site. The 3D model as sculpted on the computer. This method allows many fine details and accuracy |

| I take a deep bow for you! It's a beautiful model and the painting is great! I hope these are the first few steps of a bright future of 3D printed animal models! In which material it's printed? Do you have also some pictures of the model without paint? _________________ Stijn. My Site with 3D Printable Animals

In which material it's printed? Do you have also some pictures of the model without paint? Thank you for your comment, the model was printed in frosted ultra detail material and is hollow. - HKHollinstone wrote:

I had the same question! The material is a UV cured acrylic polymer, a type of plastic. It is fragile in the sense that thin parts like the ears or tail can snap under pressure. In thicker parts it is quite durable, I had to drill a hole in the stomach to fill it with plaster and surprisingly it did not crack or break at all. |
