| Hi, I wonder if anybody knows how much some specific Breyer horses are worth, and would be very glad to receive some help. I wonder how much the classic red roan quarterhorse mare, that comes with a western set, is worth without the rider, saddle and bridle. I also want to know how much the mares that comes in the Famous Sire Collection sets is worth alone, without the stallion and foal. Thank you beforehand. |

Well, it's hard then the models won't show up at all. And most of the red roans I found as still being sold as discontinued costs about 39,95-49,50 dollar which is 10-20 dollar more then the price it was then still being sold as not discontinued, not counting shipping costs. All of them in new shape with rider and all. I have not seen any horse without any of the "stuff" that comes with it. So I wonder if it is worth buying it as an alone model for 31 dollar + 8 shipping, seeing as it even costs so much more in shipping if buying from other countries, especially from USA. I only found the Famous Sire Collection with Prince Plaudit, but only with the whole family. They even seem to be hard getting any photos of. The only ones of them I have seen are one on Ebay, one on Identify Your Breyer and another identification site with only a picture out of a catalog. I don't know if it is worth as much as an alone model. And of course the mare I'm thinking of buying for the same price as for the red roan. |

The life of a collector is hard I do not know anything about Breyers, - sorry. But it is usually almost impossible to tell. It depends so much on the number of people willing to buy, and several other things, too. From Schleich I know that the price may change with several hundred % from one year to the next, - and somtimes also a LOT from auction to auction. |
