PostSubject: The gem of the month: the LINEOL yak!   The gem of the month: the LINEOL yak! EmptyWed Nov 03, 2010 11:56 pm

A few weeks ago, I found an old Yak. I think it´s the most beautiful yak I have ever seen I love you It looks pretty old, but to my suprise it´s in almost perfect shape. Not a single crack, not even the horns are damaged cheers

I don´t know if it´s lineol, elastolin or some other older brand, ´cus it only says "germany" under it.

But that don´t matter, because I love it, and it is definetly the biggest treasure I´ve found this month Very Happy

Here´s the pics;

It is a Lineol Anna. It was made in Germany from 1940 to 1960. And you are right, it's a fantastic gem... Still the king of the yak models IMHO Very Happy

Yes, that is the case with many of those old Lineols, even better then todays standards in many cases!
And as the fanatics and older collectors have it all, you may consider it a true gem! cheers

It is now that i saw it the first time too my friend... Rolling Eyes
It seems, as they had your model re-maked a little bit, so still a model to hunt for... Laughing
But they didn't do a bad job, but it is not original as it seems...
Ps... you forgot to put your hyena's on your new website, and the older vintage Britains saber-antelope too...
I have to write it here, as there in no possibilty for comments on your site... Crying or Very sad

I'm not a millionnaire but I have a complete display, not only a shelf, with those old composition animals... So, if the virus infected you as Willy, Torben or me, we will see your collection growing in the future Very Happy

Yes, it is a remaked one but the sculptor gaves it some hooves so it is only a lowleg yack... And I need to hunt a complete one.

I didn't forget the hyenas but they are with the other "Feliformia" and not with the "Caniformia". They are indeed closer to the big cats than to the wild dogs...
You can see them here : http://web.me.com/kikimalou/The_crazy_French_macaque_!/Hyaenidae.html

I will do something for the sable but I also have to show my bats.

About the comments, I am very surprised because I thought you could do. scratch I will do my best to repair this Very Happy
