| Hi everyone,
Does anybody on this forum have the Jeol African elephant figures in their collection? If possible could someone post pictures of them from different angles? I've seen a few small pictures on the net but it would be great to see some more, I think they are nicely sculpted but hard to come by. |

| Here is Jeol African Elephant Bull (all photos by Harriet , she kindly restored the damaged figure /left ear and tusks were originally lost/): [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] |

| Thank you so much Jarda , these pictures are very helpful. The figure looks amazing, Harriet's pictures are great and clear. If you didn't tell me it was restored I would have thought the figure was all original in perfect condition. Great fixed ear and tusks, they are seamless. I hope to obtain this figure one day. |

If you drop down to our post "Jeol Animals" (3rd. Feb. 2012) it has pics of the Elephant family.
We could take some close up pics if you would like them.

Castlerigg. Hi Lesley and Sue, Thank you for offering, I'd be greatful if you could take some pictures of your Jeol elephants. The first time I saw the elephants was actually from your post! I collect britains and really like the way the Jeol elephants look but unfortunately they are very rare to come by on auctions....or pictures on the net. As I only collect elephants theses models are very interesting to me and next on my list to obtain. Thanks! |

Sue & Lesley castlerigg Hi, Sue & Lesley, please if possible, do some photos of bottom part of these figures as well (with the text "JEOL"... etc.), I am sure there are more editions with different text... :) |

| OK, here are the elephants. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The male's under-belly markings - copyright symbol JEOL MADE IN HONG KONG. (The female's markings are exactly the same). [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Male and female; size comparison. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]The female. Her ears are separate castings ... [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]... they fold back tightly against her shoulders. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Belly-markings of female and calf. (The calf has copyright symbol JEOL - no "MADE IN HONG KONG".) [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]Female and calf; size comparison.
