Schleich wishes for 2014

I've opened this topic, to ask you about your wishes for 2014....

For me my whishes are: Hornbills, Takin , Aadvark, Pygmi Hippo, Alligator turtle, Casuarian...etc....

And yours?

Sounds good- my wish is a bird of parardise

I hope they will make models, that also appeal to adult collectors.

For instance I would be absolutely thrilled if they made a series, made by an artist, like the "Artist-horses" or the WWF-animals.
Or just a nice series like the tropical fish, birds of prey, pedigree cats, or 1 : 12 dogs.
What about rare, tropical birds, breeds of rabbits or chickens or pheasants. Or a series of wild dogs, or bears, or wild cats, or deep water fish, or....

Schleich, you can do it ! Please don`t forget us oldies

I wish me new pigs and sheeps

My wishlist and also a bit of expectations:

Africa:
-Baboons/Mandrill(2012 brought new gorilla's and 2013 new chimps, so maybe baboons??)
-Aardvark(Just because its awsome!)
-Flamingo's(They are most welcome at my africa display, and they are well known)
-Crowned crane(More typical african birds are needed)
-Marabou Stork(same as cranes)
-Porcupine(Its also awsome!)
-Nile Monitor(Reptiles are welcome too)

Asia:
-Orang otangs(Same reason as baboons)
-Great Indian Hornbill(Cause they are awsome)

Australia:
-Emu(Australian animals are very much needed)
-Echidna(Cause its awsome)

Arctic:
-Puffin(more arctic birds)

America:
-Scarlet Ibis(more S.American Birds)
-Scarlet Macaw(Cause there are new macaws)

Europe:
-Heron(They are also very welcome)

That's an great list
But Schleich need also more south americans animals, how capybaras and anacondas :)

I also like Marabou!

I'd like to see a good-sized, unmutilated dogo, presa, cane corso or even just a bloodhound get released, but perhaps they aren't breeds with sufficiently kid-friendly public images for a firm like Schleich to undertake. Besides, I'd prefer to get them made by Papo anyways.

I would like to see Schleich improve in a few areas.
More diverse dog breeds (althoughI was not too impressed with their new ones, they aren't completely horrible in my opinion)
More diverse reptiles (meaning, more snakes, lizards, and crocs/gators, in fact I would love to see some of their older models come back)

More diverse birds (all they have now are typical birds of prey, and macaws with a few others mixed in, why not some of their fantastic older species like the raven, pheasant etc?)

I would especially like to see more Australian animals, and I don't mean kangaroos. (dingos, echidna, or a Tasmanian devil would be the top on my list)

Increase in South American animals as well (maybe a new species of tapir, some sort of wild pig, new anteater)

Also, is it really so hard to just reuse the mold for their porcupine and release it as a single model? why spend money to create a mold, then retire it so soon (even if the line didn't do well) and not rerelease it?

And as Susanne commented, I would like some animals that weren't "prettied up", not that its a bad thing, I know some people like that and I understand Schleich's strategy for it, but I still wish they wouldn't do it. And that is my list.

Miniature Buckskin Quarter horse stallion.

Quarter horse mare (bald face please!) and foal.
Connemara gelding or " family".
Belgian horses
Bashkir Curly horse.
Chincoteague Ponies.

And Schleich NEEDS to make more single horses, like geldings or mares like a real stable would have, not horse familes.

Percheron gelding or mare (braids like in photo are ok)

Wildlife:
Enchidna (maybe a full playset with Enchidna den & puggle (baby))

And generally I wish Schleich to skip the cutified look with too big heads and eyes. Go for the real thing. Let MLP, Sylvannia Families etc give te cute to the market.
Most animals have a natural cuteness, no need to add more. Stay true to source. (Yes, I love Princess Shire Mare, but that's the very exception, let her be a stand alone!)

Material like the Shire Stallion is no go! Neither are bases for the figurines. They shall stand alone, and if a base is needed, is must be removable.

Beside these complaints, keep up the good work, Schleich :-)
