| So my 8 year old son Connor has to do a report on South Africa--of course I am all excited until my wife reminded me it was Connor's report, not mine. Among the things to research: languages, flag, holidays, climate, etc. and, of course, wildlife. As part of his report he needs to do a visual. "We" came up with the idea to showcase 3-4 animals that live ONLY in South Africa. I want our brands to represent these animals. I have come up with meerkats (variety of brands), South African penguin (Schleich)and black wildebeest (CollectA). I have tried researching for a few more animals on the internet, but cannot find a listing. I though one of the genets only resided in South Africa? If anyone has any info on where I can find a listing, or what animal replicas that exist are only found in South Africa, please let me know. Thanks so much, Shawn |

However, elephants, lions, warthogs, waterbucks, etc are found in other areas of Africa as well. But, Springbok and Meerkats, for example, are ONLY South African species. So the list does help. I appreciate your help Andreas! (o)): |
